So I just dropped an item called “Malvern’s Writ”. Not sure what it is but it mentions crossbow mercenaries so maybe a rogue item? Kind of weird that it dropped before Rogue release. It’s not listed in the item database I use so idk.

Just dropping in to confirm that this item dropping is intended. 
Crossbow Mercenaries periodically appear until you reach your cap (default is 0). While they benefit from the affixes targeting bow-equipped minions, you might want to consider using the item in a build where other minions would, too.
I found one of these yesterday too, maybe hinting at adding mercenaries??? A step in that direction? Would be really cool… 
If Crossbow Mercenaries are a mechanic that just exist for all characters then you should probably put that in the description because the implication is that it’s an item like the ring that gives you extra skeletons which requires you to have the relevant skill to extract any value from it.
If you press alt for additional tooltips desc. it actually explains the mechanic more i ndepth.
I am seeing that now. I slapped it on my necromancer. I use bow skeles so it might be a good pick. We’ll see
