Shaman has elemental resistance bonuses that are not relevant in endgame.
- mastery - 50% elemental res while you control a totem
- “protective circle” - physical and ele res per active totem (15% each)
I’m not going to run around with zero elemental resistance, hoping not to get hit before I get totems down, or praying my totems dont get killed. This makes these bonuses completely useless. I actually ignore them, and it burns me to have to spend points on Protective Circle to get to Storm Blade.
Here ideas for alternative bonuses we could get instead:
- 10% damage reduction while totems down
- 100% increased cast speed for placing totems
- totems teleported around you on traversal skill, with duration refreshed
- totems inherit half your resistances
- totems inherit 20% of your spell and melee damage
- totems explode when killed
