I was thinking that maybe giving set items unique skills if you have all items in the set equipped and the set bonus stats would reflect skills that could be used in synergy with these set skills
cuse right now , there is no reason to use the set items in the game , i dont even think they are worth using for leveling new charachters and they are basically just bad unique items with additional steps to get all the stats they offer
This is always the problems with set items. If they are better than uniques, then they become the only answer for builds. If they are as good, then why spend them time to find them before getting as good as you could with the far easier to find uniques?
I wouldn’t be surprised if the rework of sets brought back the affixes that get better based on the number of them you have on.
There are a few set items that are very good and worth it. If you are doing a totem crit build, Ferebor’s Chisel is very good. Sets have a problem where it’s usually not good to equip the whole set.
Sadly i have to agree. I think, there is only few quite good set pieces and sets like villatria which is necessary to play lightning meteor build and tbh build with this set scales so well or ferebor set is good mid-game option and can easily push around 200 corruption with this as shaman totem build.
Mentioning set pieces for example i meant The Invoker’s Static Touch ring, which is also good not even while lvling, shock chance, flat spell dmg etc or Catalyst Lich’s Scorn.
Maybe the way to go is implement LP system to set pieces to boost its stats and utility or make synergy more rewarding or add more set pieces and give us more options to chose from. Because even if one pieces is not good enough no one will ever use this set cause its just a waste of power and scalling possibility
