most of the time when i try to craft an item while leveling, i reach a point where the forge will no longer let me add/improve affixes until i reach a certain level. this seems to be working as intended.
however, twice now when crafting up a purple item i found, i have rendered it unusable by crafting an affix that raised its required level. fortunately i have a backup, so i’m able to continue playing.
i just died in the next echo i tried after having to switch to my backup, when i was comfortably progressing through the same content beforehand. that wouldn’t have happened if the forge had accurately prevented me from crafting the affix that took the item above my level.
it seems like the system is intended to prevent this, as i mentioned in my first paragraph, so i just want to make it known that this is happening. i’m already dealing with a lot of the same frustrations that many people have voiced with the current state of the endgame and looting. this was the first time i played the game in weeks. i played for less than an hour when this happened and now i’m done for the time being again.
