The Cyclone node in Maelstrom seems to not recognize the rest of the skill tree.
I primarily noticed the AoE size but the damage was significantly lower too. Damage should have increased since I’m using Orchirian’s Petals.

I’ve tested this internally, and it’s just the visuals that become smaller-- Maelstrom still hits enemies in the same area.
I did not notice any change in damage after taking Cyclone, and Orchirian’s Petals increased damage for me. Could you link a screenshot of your Maelstrom tree, and mention any other uniques you have?
On the training dummy a 10 stack of maelstrom does 1202 dmg without Cyclone; with Cyclone it does 433.
I am not using any other uniques.
I actually don’t even have any +damage from the tree. Maybe Cyclone isn’t using +base spell damage? Or is Armour on the test dummy changing the dmg? I was assuming it had none.

I just fixed the VFX portion of this, let me investigate the other elements now.
I’m unable to reproduce a loss of damage or other effects from the tree.
The VFX is working as intended now
I can keep an eye on this unless you manage to reproduce it.
EDIT - found something. Investigating.
Shattered Heavens was the offender. It was providing significantly more damage than intended.
