Maehlin's Hubris not working with Curses

I think there’s a bug with Maehlin’s Hubris, Where the bleed chance doesn’t convert with curses. I tried Bone Curse’s bleed chance, and Spirit Plague’s bleed both were unaffected by it. However, Sacrifice and its Bone Nova does convert bleed to fire. Is this intentional???

If needed I can post a video of it later on.

I can confirm that Maehlin’s Hubris is very selective about what it converts.

Here is a screenshot I was testing with Spirit Plague: https://imgur.com/a/6mHUwXh

The self-bleed from the Exsanguination specialization node is converted (great!). But the bleed inflicted on enemies from the Hemorrage node is not (sad). Oddly, neither is the self-bleed from the Bleeding Heart amulet.

I don’t think there is a bug with spirit plague.
It’s a dot spell not a hit spell. It does not have a chance to bleed it just applies a bleed.
The ignite you have is from your belt.
Not sure for blood curse though.

I’ve thought about it, and I think I’ve figured out why it acts like this.

Curses affect the target, and then, when a condition is met, the curse then applies an effect. So technically they are “casting” the effect, not you.

To re-word
-Bone Curse: when a target is hit with a spell, BONE CURSE is inflicting a bleed.

-Spirit Plague: while under the effects of Spirit Plague, SPRIT PLAGUE is inflicing the DoT.

Since these spells are not equiped with Maehlins Hurbis, they are not converted. Which, I guess is fine. But it begs the question if other armor bonuses dont effect curses which would kinda suck.

-Also foot note, I do hope that Maehlin’s Hubris would effect curses because as of right now my builds best option is death seal, and I’d rather stack ward than endurance. I have no idea of this games meta and if that would break it or not though.-
