In the spirit of having some silly fun. I decided to make what is in my opinion the most clunky and strange build -yet i think would be funny to try. I would like to see what yall come up with. Feel free to share bellow.
Time Warp Boomspear Build
This build uses paladin spear throw as the main form of damage, with smite as a way to prock heals and movement (for ward and mana) and then using time reversal to pop back in place.
Manually casting smite allows you to move out of harms way (traversal) or you can prock it from throwing with a 25% chance. Sigil of hope is your main heal and allowing for stacking up to 1000 base heal and 30%(5).
Main defenses are damage to mana before health, high health, endurance, crit avoidance. Healing effectiveness, ward per second, ward from low health (regan per second and sigil of hope triggered by health per second), etc
Minion mage, with mirror images and elemental bees, zero support on the passive tree. I hoped that with Dragonflame Edict and a lot of ignites it will be viable, but no. It’s the most zero dps I’ve ever played
I never tried that teleport node on Smite. I wonder how does it work with the chance to cast smite on throwing hit from your idol(s) Imagine that a boss is doing some close range aoe, you throw a javelin, and it teleports you to boss and you die because of it
Mana might be an issue, since Smite now costs 42 mana if I read it right? And you’re manual casting Sigils of Hope, and Javelin costs 11 mana per chuck too.
Javelin - so now you have Holy Trail which is okay, but you don’t stack % increased healing so it won’t deal much damage.
You can go for Hit build or DoT build. Using Bident would suggest going for Electrify, but you don’t have many sources of Electrify:
Penance (Paladin passive)
Purifying Lightning (Javelin)
Go for the Legs (Javelin)
Total: only 150%
Holy Trail and Electrify Javelin are also working against each other, because Holy Trail adds a 3 second cooldown, so you won’t be able to chuck javelin after javelin to apply more DoTs You could stack a lot of Cooldown Recovery to lower that cooldown, but it probably won’t have as much DPS as a no cooldown javelin version.
Alternatively, if you went for Holy Trail and stack increased healing, that has decent DPS too.
Hit build would need a different weapon, and it’s missing %more damage nodes from the Javelin tree, and hit build would be HEAVILY gear-dependent. I’m talking +throwing damage on every gear piece you can find, and rare throwing affixes on armor and helmet.
Oh crap… sounds bad
But what about phys dmg runebolts runemaster? Kinetic node, cleaver solution and str gear, rune bolts from fire wall and invocation?
