No changes!
What I mean is that I love the fact that you lock in your specialization and that you can’t respec more than what you currently can. that gives the player more invested thought into their character rather than other games like Diablo 3 where you can respec on the fly.
Don’t go that route, all quality long lasting games has limited respec oppertunity.
Diablo 2 had no way to respec all the way up to v1.12.
So my suggestion is, keep it exactly the way you have it. don’t listen to all these voices that probably beg for sandbox mode. dont do it. keep things hard and locked in.
Interesting to see a thread specifically giving feedback to not change a specific thing.
I wholeheartedly agree with this.
Every mastery already can be played in a plethora of ways, so respecting into different build does already exist in a varied amount.
But the whole choice of Masteries being locked in, once you choose is something that I agree with.
The only thing that I would like to see would be something, before the mastery choice, where you can test some of the mastery exclusive skills before locking in that choice.
This could easily be explained with some time travel shenanigans.
Much of that could be changed with improved help files, or (like was suggested above) a testing arena. I think Undecember has something like that, where you can throw together skills to see how they perform on various dummy-npcs, before investing in them.
When you kill Pannion and grab the shard of the epoch, you are send into a place where time doesn’t exist allowing you to talk to your probable/past/future self (your 3 masteries) and play with all skill unlock until your go back to your timeline/reality by embracing one of those mastery/future/probability
