Love Details, Question about Warpath

First, the praise. I love the artwork from the new expansion, some of the landscapes are gorgeous.

And I love little details, like the tiny icon next to the council chambers that has the glyph to show that the area has been blocked by a ‘powerful’ ward. So nice.

Now onto the question. I decided to try my hand at a warpath build. Wanted to do it from level 1 because I enjoy the campaign and it gives me a chance to get a ‘feel’ for the skill as I level.

I want to take the two-hander path that heads southwest on the skills tree with a plan to use block protectiveness. Got to the Parrying Spin node and put a point in it.

My question is that when I actually spin it doesn’t appear to be giving me any extra Block Chance (see images below.)

Is this node not working? Am I missing something?

I would expect it’s probably because the character screen only shows global bonuses & that block chance node on Warpath is conditional - block chance while no shield is equipped. Other skills, such as Ring of Shield’s block chance nodes display correctly as the modifier they give is global block chance, not a conditional block chance.

There are loads of modifiers like this, such as “leech on hit” won’t show up on the character screen.

So you’re saying it probably is working it’s just not reflected in the character screen display because it isn’t global? Got it.

That does lead me to question why on some skills, when you activate them, the character screen does reflect a change, but I don’t recall if I was only seeing that on global skill things, I’ll keep an eye out on it.

Yes

Those other times the buff will be general, not conditional.

Awesome. Thanks for the quick response!

Okay, now I’m seeing things. But did that small patch that just downloaded fix this? Because when I Warpath now, that 15% and the extra Block Efficiency is there. :flushed:

I think they’re trying to make me believe I’m crazy.

Another little detail. I just love clever and unique visuals. If you’ve got more a solid number of minions when you come out of a portal or into a new area, your minions all fan out around you in an awesome perimeter. Good military tactics.
