We were in the lotus halls and the first rift (the left hand rift) gave us 2 pieces for the bridge, but when we returned to the bridge it would not let us progress, or select either orb.

You can reproduce this bug consistently if in the Temple of Eterra’s Lotus Halls, you go to one of the time rifts that takes you to ancient times to pick up the orbs for the bridge. After passing through, use town portal to return to town. When you come back, you will get credit for having taken the orb, but you won’t actually have the orb.
You now can’t open the bridge, because one of the orbs is missing. If you return to where the orb should be, it won’t let you pick it up, since the trigger has already fired.
I have found no workaround for this except deleting the character and restarting them. It’s likely a common bug, since many people will (like me) want to use the safe space on the other side of the rift to teleport back and unload junk.
