Got game frozen and tommorow I have entered I do not have character with which I was playing Im playing pure offline mode always. Everything started since you patch deploying unity 6. Somtimes I entered ingame my character on selection menu were without gear and then selecting another and returning back to that one showed gear. I have been kicked out many times and game froze many time. Yesterday game was frozen so i did ctr alt del and switch off my laptop, morning I woke up character was gone. I have invested around 300 hours of my life in to that character and now its simply gone. PLEASE FIX THIS HOW EVER U KNOW. If you need my save file please point out where I can find it. Im really angry for this I have played games since I was a kid im 36yo now this has never happened to me and anyone I know how much unprepared u have deployed this patch is unbelieveble. to lost a character in pure offline mode like WTF PLEASE FIX THIS. I have over 1000 hours ingame played it since 0.7.1.0 s
The good news is. All save files have a backup.
Go to your directory where the save files are located. On Windows its:
āOS Root Partitionā:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Eleventh Hour Games\Last Epoch\Saves
If you canāt see AppData you either need to enable showing hidden folders or just paste the path into the explorer (even when hidden you can still access the paths anyway)
There are plenty of characterslot and stash files with a .bak backup file as well.
You need to find the number of your character out, if this was the last character you played it is most likely the file that was edited the most recent time.
Save the original file and the backupfile somewhere else to make sure nothing happens to them and then rename the .bak by removing the fileending ā.bakā and overwrite the original file. Try loading up the game again and see if its works.
But I want to say this can always happen and it doesnāt mean its the latest patches fault.
It happened before and it will likely happen to other people as much as it sucks.
