On Friday May 23rd we’re going to be having a special guest on the weekly Dev Stream over on Twitch. Our resident Loremaster Kyle will be answering questions and covering various aspects of the story of Last Epoch.
We’ll be taking questions throughout the Stream from both Twitch and Youtube as normal. However, if you have any questions about the Lore of Last Epoch you’re burning to have answered, drop them into the thread below and we’ll look at them for priority to answer first!

How does Kyle figure out the world concepts and how does he write them down?
LORE STREAM HYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYPE
- Can you finally confirm who the Immortal Emperor is?
- Are there any other deities/entities that we have not encountered or heard of yet?
- Would you consider the erased ‘zombies’?
- We have met/heard of two titans so far (Lightless Arbor and The Weaver), are there Titans coming?
- Is The Weaver totally a spider? Just part of a spider (similar to a drider)?
- Just for clarity, Aberroth’s mount is a part of him and his legs grew/fused into the mount? Or was it a separate entity?
- Will we meet the final member of The Triad in Ch10? We have met Gaspar and Balthas, will the third be Melchior?
- Is there possibility of a non-human playable class or is The Traveler always have to be human?
- The Gods can have ‘offspring’ and Dragons can lay eggs, is it possible for Titans to reproduce as well?
- When The Weaver ‘erases’ you? What exactly does this entail? Does it only effect ‘your’ timeline or any/all timelines the ‘erased’ had visited?
- Does The Weaver only target other Travelers? Or just people of immense power?
- What is the relationship between Orobyss/The Void and The Weaver?
- The Weaver is technically pieces of herself from multiple timelines? Does this mean she is constantly growing herself/growing in power as each timeline dies? Could she eventually surpass Eterra/Orobyss in power because of this?
- How did/does The Weaver collect pieces of herself from other timelines?
- Who is Masque and what is his backstory? Was he a traveler?
- What do the Tombs and Cemeteries do for The Weaver? Who are they entombing there?
- When idols are enchanted by The Weaver, they become “heretical”. Does this mean she is against Eterra/Eterra’s religion?
- Is following Eterra the only ‘religion’ on the planet? Or is this replaced by the Gods and eventually The Emperor or do they co-exist? Including the other continents we have not been to yet.
- Without getting ‘too spoilery’, is the story going to be complete when ch12 gets here with a confrontation with Orobyss, or will the story ‘continue’ in the monolith and other activities?
- What is the Haven of Silk? Is it like End of Time and kinda pulled out of the timeline?
- Is Emperor of Corpses similar in power to The Immortal Emperor, since they both killed the Gods? Or did other earlier dragons kill the Gods earlier before they got quite that powerful?
- What exactly are The Harbingers? Are they some clone of Aberroth that he makes? Can they be redeemed like Orenthia?
- Can The Weaver pull other Titan parts to piece together or just pieces of her other selves?
- Is Ignixous (the two headed fire/ice dragon from the woven echo) one of the main line of dragons? He seems small compared to the other dragons we fight in the game even though it was two heads.
- Does the Draal Queen exist in today’s Eterra or did we start their extinction by hunting their queens in Woven Echoes constantly?
- We have The Gods, and The Titans, and The Dragons…what grouping would Eterra, Orobyss, Observer be? Like Elder Gods?

Here are a few questions I would have:

If the Epoch allows us to travel through time, why do we not use it to, for instance, warn Heorot about Rahyeh’s conquest before it happens, or to find and stop the Immortal Emperor before he starts the Empire?

With the class-specific cutscenes removed at character creation, is the Mage still canonically the Acolyte’s old mentor?

Obviously as a game that has grown from a kickstarter into what it is today, I’m sure there were a lot of originally pitched ideas that have since been changed or evolved, What would you say was the biggest (or most interesting) retcon or change from the original Lore/World design plans?

What is the relic from the Observer that we protect do? Is it like a giant multi-timeline tv? And is it really worth protecting that much?
The giant turtle woven echo…are we fighting in the back of a Titan?

Has there only ever been one Orobyss? What about Eterra? Do these gods exist outside the timelines?
Are Groles the only source of dairy products in Eterra

Hype! I usually can’t catch the streams, so I’m happy to see this option. Obviously the Weaver is newest, so most of my questions are around the shiny stuff. I would love to see these come around after other big lore-heavy content drops like Season 2 was.
Anyway, here’s what I’ve been wondering recently:
- Curious about the theming of the Weaver, the combo of necrotic plus holy lightning is very unusual - why was this combo chosen?
- Is the big golden spidery thing behind Masque actually the Weaver herself? If not, what is it and where is she?
- How is the Weaver able to separate herself from time? It doesn’t seem like time magic since that would involve the void. Is it some kind of anti-time magic related to necrotic?
- When we’re told the Weaver has collected numerous versions of herself, is that similar to how we select our mastery, or more physical/literal?

What are time rifts really ? Why are they formed at specific places ? Why are they connecting only two specific point in time ?
