LOOTFILTER - more ways to Emphasize items without changing rarity color

TLDR -

Please give us more ways to EMPHASIZE items without interfering with the rarity color…

For example, let us:

  • MARK with a little icon (from the inventory icons?)…
  • DECORATE the border in some way…
  • STYLE-TEXT the font-face used for the text…
  • NOTE a small piece of text onto the prefix or suffix of the item name…
  • RENAME to replace the item name entirely with our own label

It also would be nice to be able to control the three colors independently (border, text, and background)… but I understand this may be undesirable because it will allow users to make really ugly color combos that would then be visible in game screenshots…

Why? The coloring system is fine in some cases, but it also interferes with seeing what is dropping, because the colors are all kind of “nearly the same” as some of the rarity colors, and also, it overwrites the rarity, and then uses this other dual-coloring system (Which is also very weird) (edited)

I really like “Emphasize” because I can mark items without interfering with the rarity color. For example, I setup all rings and amulets to “emphasize”, so I can quickly see them, because they take a small amount of inventory space, so they are the most space-efficient thing to stack up sometimes.

However, I wish I had more forms of “emphasize” and also ways to put more than one emphasis on the same thing.

For example, I might have configs like:

  • MARK rings and amulets with icon (they are space efficient to loot)
  • NOTE [HH] on items with hybrid health affix im farming
  • NOTE [Necro] on items that work for my Necro-alt so I can pick them up if I have extra space

The important part of this config is that ALL of these different marks could end up on the SAME item… (in theory, affix compatibility aside)

For example, an item might show as…

“(ring icon) [HH] [Necro] Ring of Super awesomeness”

And it will still be colored with it’s rarity!

DROP SOUNDS - currently even hidden items play a drop sound, so it is impossible to tell if an item from your filter drops offscreen

MINIMAP ICON - this is also so that you can see offscreen items, but for emphasis on even more important stuff

Ohh yeah, that drop sounds thing annoys me greatly…

If the game is going to insist on showing a drop sound for a hidden item, at least make a different library of ultra subtle “when this item ching is hidden” alternates, so we can ignore them.

Also, it would be VERY nice if our inventory would also show our loot-figure markings somehow. (a little square in the lower-right with the alternate color/emphasis/whatever, would be enough)
