How do you get good items? do i just have to slog to 100 and then farm to find a maybe interesting item? I have a level 75 and a level 65 and have not found anything even remotely good. Its all just screen clutter. I feel like i am doing something very wrong. I am using a loot filter but all that does is change class specific items blue, i think it hasn’t pointed out anything good that i could have missed lol.
Hey there,
First and foremost welcome to the LE community.
Getting already really good drops is not the only source of good items.
The crafting system allows you to make alot of items at least mediocre.
Getting super good items might still take a while, but a good loot filter certainly helps.
The most important thing is to know what affixes do you want on which item slots.
If you find an item with one or two affixes you are already interested in you can potentially make that item to a 3 or 4 affix item with all desired affixes.
Try to set up a recolor rule with all affixes you are interested in and depending how good your current gear is give it a Tier Condition that is slightly worse than what you currently have.
You don’t need to drop items that are already better than your current once, because of the super deterministic crafting system in LE
I actually got multiple very good uniques and exalted items myself and crafted multiple really good Tier 5 items. I was getting both from Arena’s and by doing echoe’s
I tend to agree however that it took a bit to long before you would get faster past the trash items.
I think you should give it another try since they just updated the loot system.
You should get better loot overall now if i understood the patch correctly.
Nah getting to 100 is just a seperate goal in itself for me. What I find works well to get better items is pushing as far as I can in the monoliths. Once you finish the 3 quest echoes, it will reset from the beginning. But if you ignore the quests and just keep expanding the web out as far as you can, you are going to find some really good stuff. If you fight the shade then it will bring your web down to a small size, but you gain corruption which is really good too.
I’m finding that the bigger you can expand it out, I am stocking up on some reallllllllly good stuff
p.s. Check the vendor in between mono runs. She gets ignored a lot, but I have found lots of goodies hiding in her inventory. Especially + level to skill affixes for shattering.
Yep, because they are determined to fracture with a “3%” failure rate.
Hey guys, thanks for the info and the replies. I will persevere and perhaps try to craft some stuff.
I’ll also play with the loot filter and get it to change colours when an item has high spell power and crit hopefully I was just missing stuff.
