Loot filter

Hello ,
is there a way to create a loot filter that will re-color everything with sell value >= 100 for example

Thanks

Thereā€™s currently no loot filter option for vendor values no.

Not sure on the point of this as item gold value isnt really a useful indicator of if an item is worthwhile. Items usefulness as usable gear is better found by looking at specific affixes or tiers.

Unlike other games, there is very little point ( i.e. zero) in looting items to sell to the shops either. It may help in the VERY early part of the game but honestly LE doesnt promote looting for resell - items simply dont have much value to make it worthwhile - looting coin from mob kills is WAY faster, especially later in the game.

I would agree with the OP in at least having the option. I donā€™t mind picking up items that sell for in excess of 400+ gold. Quite a few of these drop in Monoā€™s and it helps to feed those of us who have several alts and horde more things.

Honestly, after 2k+ hours in the game I can categorically say ā€œJust dontā€. LE is currently not intended to be played this way and the devs confirmed this a long time ago when the issue of low value of drops came up.

Sure you can do whatever you want, but it absolutely ruins the flow of the game and the time you waste running back to town to sell things is, imho, not worth the effort when you can earn the same or more just killing mobs and collecting gold drops. The further you get into the game, especially in MoF where the good stuff drops and you need the space for it and coin from dead mobs is increased.

Thank You for the information about endgame. I do not however run back and forth,. I Complete each Mono and make only one trip to town. Since I am not to endgame yet, why not afford me a way to pick up some extra cast till I get there, is all I am suggesting.

Heā€™s not suggesting that you canā€™t do it, just that you will end up making more gold if you donā€™t go back to town just to sell items. This is something that I myself had to overcome as well, but in LE it really is more profitable to not be picking up everything and porting back to sell it. You spend needless time doing this when you will actually make more gold, save time, and probably enjoy it more if you donā€™t.

We all have our preferences and you certainly do have the right to play whatever way you like but sometimes others try to help up understand when a game is developed that works better a way that is different than what weā€™re used to in one way or another.

Either way, enjoy the game your way whether you continue as you have been or adjust to a new one.

There is so much money in the game, I really donā€™t think this is an issue. Within 2-3 weeks - about 3-4 hours of play each night, Iā€™ve spent millions improving my stash. Vendors just donā€™t have anything useful at endgame - and the stash is shared.

I mean Iā€™m not opposed to having this - just not sure itā€™s really needed based on what Iā€™ve seen. You could easily turn off hiding yellows and boom, plenty of stuff to sell - and each echo has a vendor.

Iā€™m sorry - I get your point, and donā€™t think itā€™s an issue as I said above, but sorry - thatā€™s a stupid response. Options are just that: options. How can something you can not do if you donā€™t like it, ruin anyoneā€™s flow of the game?

Options are options - not mandatory.

Sure - YOU can do whatever you like, but if the game is designed to ā€œrewardā€ (in this case time spent getting coin) doing something in another way (even if other options exist) then, IMHO, you would be unlikely to get the best enjoyment out of doing it in a manner contradictory to how the game wants you do to it surely? Again, YOU can do it however you like, but it seems to me to be a very odd way to play a game.

Iā€™ll use an analogy here.

If you have a newspaper route dropping papers on peoples doorsteps and you have to get it finished each morning before school starts. Obviously you are gonna want to do it as efficiently as possible? Efficiency may translate into taking the quickest route past your customers and perhaps figuring out the optimal route to get you back home without backtracking and to have enough time to shower before school. Over time you would evolve this process to best match your needs. If you didnt and decided you wanted to take a long way around to watch the sunrise or smell the roses, then there would be repercussions - youā€™d be tired from pedalling so far, youā€™d run out of time and possibly get into trouble at school or miss your bus.

Again. YOU can do whatever you like, but there will always be an optimal, dare I say ā€œintendedā€ way to approach things in a game like LE.

I would like to bring a different approach to this. There are some misconceptions here, one of them being that a player will loose time by using a portal to sell itens.
Doing infinite runs in monoliths you always have a vendor availabe at the end of each run, and you can easily sell trash (including a lot of duplicated uniques and set itens that I sell for 500 each one). And with this I also sell the other trash that have more gold value.

I think each one has his own way to enjoy the game, and I enjoy it more collecting tons of itens for future builds and I am always checking the loot in ground, even with a restric loot filter. And I collect almost everything worth 200 to 300 coins, to sell, its an average way to bring more cash. Gold is never enough in this game, and anyone saying otherwise I suspect is not enjoying the game at its full potential.

Sure its not what devs projected, but its the way I have to increase my income, because only the gold dropping from enemies and echo rewards is not enough. I dont consider it to be wasting time, as I said, I am always looking the loot, and it is also a distraction from doing the same repetitve task over and over mechanically (enter echo, rush to to end, collect the reward, enter echo again ) Imagine doing this 787 times (thats my number in empowered Ending the storm monolith). Thats the way I like to play, and I think its what bring most enjoyment and time management TO ME.
I respect anyone that have different strategies, but rushing the map and ignoring most of the drops to me just bring more pressure to be bored at the end of the day, as the more we are in end game and with build closed, the more difficult is to find anything usefull to stash it.
I am not a veteran, and have much to play yet, I have just 2 builds till now, one of them being before multiplayer. Maybe in the future I can think more like some of you, but I know today the thing that works more to me is this way.
And I dont think powerfarming just rushing enemies and collecting gold from ground is that much more effective.

With all that being said, I think the suggestion here would be very welcome. And wouldnt hurt anyone or anything in the system, just let us filter something by its price.
