Loot filter handling of multiple item subtypes with conditions

What my loot filter currently looks like:

As you can see a whole lot of duplications and that is because the loot filter does not allow for conditions to be duplicated in the same logic string, i.e. I can’t have Item Type more than once:

If you are not filtering subtypes you are fine, you can select body armour, amulets and all the ones you want and apply your conditions to the lot all in one but the moment you use subtypes you can’t.

If it is possible to allow multiple Item Type conditions this lengthy duplication process can be avoided saving a lot of time and hassle and while I’m at it, for whatever it is worth, the ability to copy paste conditions would be great (yup, I had to set up my 32 selected affixes from scratch for every item type).

Your built in customisable loot filter is magic by the way! :slightly_smiling_face:

Seconded. Or, at least ability to copy one entire rule, so that I just have to tweak the item type.

I too would appreciate a duplicate function for individual rules along with the current whole item filter duplicate

There is a easier way to filter item base types more easily and more genericly, if you want the same/similar affixes across the board.

Just put hide rules for all base types at the top of your filter and below those hide rules you can put generic recolour rules, selecting all the affixes you are interested in.

You still need to create alot f hide rules for specific base types, but you don’t have to select any affixes for those.

That’s how i use all my filters.

Here is an example:

Melee Lich Strict.xml (34.2 KB)
example - Pastebin.com

thank you, i had a recolor rule for each item type with the affixes i wanted shown. Your filter is much more condensed with the generic recolor instead

The thing is there is rarely a “best approach”, al methods have up and down sides.

The method of OP is very precicse for some things though.

But i personally just like hidding rules for stuff i have no intend of using at the top.
This only reduces the amount of items i can shatter (which usually is not a problem when you are deeper into late game).

But i still have some ruels above the hiding rules, to collect rare shards.

But yeah, there are sooo many ways to achieve very similar goals with LE’s Loot FIlter.
