Here’s a list of things I believe would make the already great loot filter even better!
Readability:
- Allow rules to be renamed. Avoids the issue of having a bunch of “Hide x subtypes” on the list and not knowing what they’re hiding.
- From Thyworm: Add the functionality to create subsections where rules can be put in the subsection. The subsection would also have a drop down menu so the rules could be hidden, cleaning up the filter significantly when similar rules are together. Example: Being able to put all of those subtypes that are together into a subsection called “subtype” or “hidden gear”. The subsection would take the priority of its position on the list, and rules within the subsection are prioritized according to their position within the subsection
Functionality:
- Allow multiple affix conditions within the same rule. This would effectively act as an “and” function for affixes, where all affix conditions have to be satisfied in order to see or hide the item. Example: I have 10 affixes I want to see drop on my weapon. I create a show rule with two conditions for the same 10 affixes. That way, I need to see at least two of those affixes in order to see the weapon. Alternative option: allow an affix condition to require multiple instances of that condition to be satisfied in order to see or hide the item.
- From VisionGL: Allow a rule to be duplicated. This can make it much easier to set up multiple rules that are similar to each other by creating a more general rule that can be duplicated instead of starting from scratch for every rule.
- Selecting multiple item types should populate the subtypes section with every subtype for each item type selected instead of causing it to be grayed out. This would allow for only one “hide subtype” rule to be necessary in order to hide all undesired item types.
- Allow for an “or” function in the conditions. Right now it’s only an “and” function, so when multiple conditions exist in a rule, they all must be satisfied in order for the rule to apply. An “or” function would allow for players to choose to see “one or the other”. An option like this could also allow for an “exclusivity” function, where it becomes “one or the other, but not both” Example: I want either set elemental res or set poison and necrotic res on an item, but not both.
General Effects
- Allow for the addition of borders, with multiple border types when recoloring.
- Allow for the addition of sounds to rules. Major bonus if we can add our own custom sounds.
