Hello, I was watching the most recent dev stream VOD on Twitch and there was a question about using custom sounds in the loot filter. The dev (Sorry, can’t remember the name) expressed concern that people would use inappropriate sounds, and the game would be in trouble because of that.
I don’t think that somebody streaming with a gachi loot filter would ever be a problem for the game, because custom sounds are allowed in PoE, and there was never any drama or controversy related to that. Custom sounds are also allowed in WoW to an even bigger extend (addons). I don’t think any ‘game journalist’ would actually ever write an article, scolding the devs about how bad and unprofessional it is to allow the masses to use custom sounds.
I think that a discussion would be great.
