Loot at zone edges

Had a situation Twice this evening where a Unique and later a set item both dropped at a zone edge and i was not able to loot them due to the edge being so close. It took me to the next zone and i lost the chance to pick the item up off the ground.

Would be nice to either shrink the zone edges or instead give us some way to have an auto loot if you zone and don’t pick up loots close by. Not sure what the best way to fix this would be. Anyone else with ideas?

Generally I don’t like the auto-travel when you walk near the edge. Not in a game where the entire area respawns when you leave.
I haven’t had problems with loot myself, but I think moving to the next area should require clicking a very clear button.
