Looks like Zoo minion got left behind

Ive seen killer rough drafts for Abom. The estimated dps is out of this world… Lots of lich builds…

but Zoo minion… minor tweaks. Tiny DPS boost, a bit of extra survivability that’s it. I mean it is better… but come on, zoo minion is a staple trope for Necro…

Yeah, I was really hoping the minion/necromancer rework for season 3 would actually address that zoo minion builds always get behind.

There were so many well thought out and engaged responses to this thread that I really got excited for what the future of minions and the necromancer class might hold, but it does seem like most of the feedback hasn’t really been addressed from the patch notes. I just hope that some changes to the other summons themselves are on the way, but nothing that’s been communicated so far about the necromancer rework leads me to believe this.

The Minion Power and Less Damage Taken from Heavy Attacks changes, in conjunction, results in a 70% more health mod being applied to minions. That most heavily impacts minions which are dying too often, meaning zoo. Don’t sleep on what a huge change that is.

I’m going to test physical zoo with T-Rex. Builder setup is ready - minion +900% hp and 650% dmg with +40 flat melee and *1.15 more hp and from T-Rex roar. With higher necromancer’s EHP than Aaron’s (abom+Rex):roll_eyes:

Always hated that item, took way to much away for the small amount it gave back, I wouldnt mind it if it didnt prevent casting skeles or gave you a golem every 3 instead of 4 just everything about it just screams for the feels and not the reals, especially with how golems react and bodyblock and the fact they have the lowest base crit chance of any summon.

I can beat reg abo with 4 minion skills and the buff skill already. what i need is dps.

Sweet Tyrant’s Skull should cover your needs then, extra DPS for days and as flat additive it scales absurdly with total minion count. Plus tons of pen. Might need to change things a bit to better leverage physical rather than fire, but golems attacks are always physical, as is abom, as are most skeleton skills, as is half of zombie base. So it’s just mages and wraiths which don’t scale as well with physical.

yep. thats my idea. i was playing minion necor, with mages, wraiths and zombies… but may have to go arrons will, abom, golems, dread shade, bone curse and infernal shade

Em sorry what? Relic will not prevent you from summoning skeletons.
I guess, you are speaking about Aaron’s chest, instead of his theoretical necro build with T-Rex relic🤔

So much this. I was so bummed last season that Necro got no love but we were promised big overhaul for Necro for S3 so I been waiting for this only to find out that actual Necro minion build got almost no love. Always Lich gets the attention and I don’t really like playing Abom. This has made me much less hype about this season. Oh well…PoE2 minions seem to have gotten a huge boost for S3 so I guess that’s where I will go when it drops.
