Little annoying things bout echoes

These are some rather irrelevant things that are a bit confusing/annoying, I think they need a bit of extra thought put into them.

  • Of the echo gate type objectives Sacrifice/Skittering/Vile… Only the Sun gate (the birds one) give a burst of drop rewards when you seal the gate. Shouldn’t this happen with every gate type? As a nice touch, would be great if each gate had a preferred reward: Glyph, Runes, Weapons, jewelry…

  • Echo missions and Boss kills all reward 1000 gold and exp. Shouldn’t these values scale with area level and corruption?

  • Boss echo objective should have much, more health, some extra damage and possibly boss treatment (DR, less shred and all the perks). In my opinion if you have the damage to kill the boss in about a minute, these mini-bosses should have enough defense value to, at the very least, endure for 10-15 seconds. I sometimes burst them in under 1-2 seconds currently.

  • “Covenant of Dominion” and “The effigy of Oblivion”, and the Ruby Captain appear as normal (or elite) enemies in echoes, with the Boss bar type. Shouldn’t these non-bosses have a rare health bar and rare perks instead? All of them can be echo objectives, but that’s covered in the point above.

Thanks for reading!

The gate echos are not meant to have any reward drops. This was confirmed by the devs a while ago as part of bug troubleshooting exercise where a bunch of us tested what gates dropped and what didn’t. They havent fixed it yet afaik.

Thats the unique enemy name plate. Enemies are differenciated by rarity, not purely by purpose.

Bummer. More rewards are always great.

Yeah, but you can encounter 6-10 of the same “unique” enemy. Hence the little confusion it causes.
If you want to use the same enemy model and abilities for an elite enemy that can be encountered repeatedly into an echo, at least change it to a rare or something.
