I’ve written down some suggestions for a while now, and thought I should finally share them.
Will you create a function, that will make Rune Of Ascendance faster to use, if you have many items you want to make unique? Sometimes I’ve got 200 Rune of Ascendance I want to use. That requires a lot of monotonous clicking at the moment.
Will you make a way to track prophecies, so that, as an example, if I hover the mouse over a monolith / dungeon / arena, I will see the prophecies that apply there? It would also be useful to be able to sort the prophecies I have, granting a more quick and efficient of overview of them all.
Could it be made possible to move minions by pressing and holding the “A” button? Currently I have to click it repeatedly, and it would sometimes be easier to just be able to keep holding the button.
Suggestion to the Stash Tab: Make it possible to drag and drop the stashes from the Quick View.
(Fun idea) for set items: Make a set reward give access to a certain skill from one of the three specializations, so that you don’t have to spend passive points to get it. It might open up some creative, interesting builds.
Thanks for reading, and thanks for Last Epoch!
Have a wonderful day.
1.) You need a special ui for this. This is quite a lot of effort (from a developer’s point of view) for a very specific feature.
2.) I think a lot of content is only generated at runtime (e.g. the moment you enter an echo). So you don’t always have all the information available to display this type of tooltip.
3.) I don’t use this minion feature. So i can’t say anything about this
4.) Could be handy
5.) Nice idea, but i think also not easy to code (higher effort regarding ux design / storing item information, and so on)
Hmm, but we have a Rune Of Shatter in the game, which remains in the slot after use. Why can’t it also be done with Rune Of Ascendance?
I think then what should developers do? Take the easiest path? It’s just that sometimes, if you want to do something well, you have to work hard. Otherwise, you can do nothing at all, because it will require effort.
Ah ok. Then I misunderstood. I thought you wanted to use the rune on several items at the same time.
Regarding effort: At the moment, I would say that developer resources would be better allocated to other features. But I like the idea. Maybe that would be something for the late future
Although I agree that it’s monotonous when you are doing a lot of them, I disagree with this happening. If I’m looking for a specific staff and get it with the first few, if I had set it to use 100 RoAs then I just burn a whole lot of RoAs for nothing probably. I could have saved them for that ring I was going to go for next, which after burning through another 100 I still didn’t get. Just an example of how it would go. That means that if you have a good suggestion on how to do it logically within reason rather than just setting a number, that would be great. If it would be possible to say specify an Omnividence with 2 or more LP for example and then stop, that would be more specific, but way more program layers to do.
I like this idea and have thought of how it would be nice to have more visibility and sorting capabilities for your prophecies.
I know they are planning to work on minion controls in the future and hope that many of the suggestions that have been seen on the Forum are going to be implemented. I would say “stay tuned” on the future for this one.
I’m not entirely sure what you mean on this one.
The devs, and the entire community, know that set items are in a very bad place right now and the devs are planning some serious rework on them.
I think his suggestion is mostly not having the RoA disappear, much like already happens with shatter runes. So you can use a bunch of them in a row without having to manually select it all the time.
Either way, you could still make something like that work by simply adding a goal of stopping if it hits X unique.
He means the tab list on the right of the stash. You should be able to drag and drop those to rearrange them.
It’s been suggested before and even to Mike on his stream who said it was a good idea. We’ll hopefully see that sometime.
If that’s what he means then I completely agree with that. It’s a little irritating having to reselect it every item.
On this one, I don’t totally agree. If I have a bunch of 0-1LP but need one that’s at least 2LP then I want it to stop at that point rather than stopping just b/c I got that particular Unique. That’s a little more into the program tree.
If you had a condition for the unique, you could add a condition for the LP as well. And you might even add conditions for affix ranges. Not that I think anything like this will ever happen, anyway.
But the biggest problem about this would be where to dump the uniques. I don’t think you could ever do 100 in a row because there’s no place to fit them in.
To your first point, that’s what I’m saying is that it would require a little more in the programming to do it. I also don’t think it’s going to happen so the point is likely moot.
To your second point, the number 100 was figurative, you could do a whole lot of rings or amulets, don’t remember the exact number at this time, but that would be the limit (still a lot).
