List of suggestion gathered together

Hello,
first of all i want to thank that you take the time and read what suggestions i gathered together.
Those ideas were all gathered in a german gaming community and are not only my ideas. The Community did not see the list before now so i heard some solutions more often then others without being prejudiced from already made suggestions.
All of those ideas should not make a big cut in the game or change it completely. Most of the Suggestions are Quality of Life improvements or annoying things while playing.
We all love, enjoy and care about the game. This is not a “This game is trash” collection. This is a Suggestion thread to try to improve the game and make it more fun over all.
Any Solution idea is only an idea and is definitely not the only way how to work around or fix things.
If anything is unclear feel free to ask me and i try to specify/explain a bit better.

Feel free to discuss anything mentioned above and tell the ppl if oyu like it or not.

I ordered the Suggestions from “Most mentioned” to “Least mentioned”.

Picking up Craftingshards
This is the most wanted suggestion and was mentioned almost by everyone in the community

Reason/solution idea: Since we can do nothing with it but just to send it to the crafting storage they could just instant move to the crafting menu. also there is no reason to not make them autopick like gold since they dont feel rewarding at all when picking up or not picking up. at some point you have thousands of them and only hunt for specific ones anyway.

Slaying monsters is fun!

Reason: WE LOVE TO KILL MONSTERS! All of them. But there is no actual way to increase the density in our echos and some of them feel really really empty.

Solution idea: A system to increase monster density like increasing corruption would be awesome so we can adjust our fun.

When Stability is at max (2x Bossrequirement) you farm Echos and dont get more Stability.

Reason: When you are in “the grind” you kinda forget sometimes there is a boss to do or you forget to look at your stability. Then you just grind for kinda nothing.

Solution idea: Make a Warning pop up which you have to click “OK” if you enter a new Echo when stability is at the max (make a little checkmark to “dont show again until its full again”)

Tome of XP and XP shrines are useless if you are already max level.

Solution idea: Replace it with something useful if you already 100 (f.e. goldfind, magicfind for shrines, gold for tomes)

Scrolling through stashes is tedious.

Solution idea: let us scroll through stashes with shift + mousewheel without the mouse beeing in the tab area.

Keys are essential in this game but hoarding is a pain.

Reason: Keys do only use 1x1 slots but if you play alot you will have alot of them.

Solution idea: Let us stack them to a certain amount or let them also go into the crafting menu.

Skills like “Rampage” get stuck real quick on small objects.

Reason: Annoying to use.

Solution idea: Give them the ability to follow the mouse movement (skilltree f.e.) but then let it only run for 2 3 4 seconds and not infinite anymore.

There are too many baseitems in the game.

Reason: To find “the” item which fits your build very good/perfect is hard to find. And if you find it after hours and hours of farming it tend to be on a bad or not even usable base. Even if you find it on a good base, there is still the forging potential.

Solution idea: Actually there are some ideas we brought together.
First one would be to bring all base items to a “somewhat” same level (armor range f.e. is a big one).
Second one would be a gamble with a certain %chance where you can transfer stats from one itembase to another with a chance of a bad outcome like item gets destroyed, stats lose tiers and so on so we have atleast another chance to craft a item.

Sometimes you just need potions.

Reason: When you are dieing alot (espiacially in story and if a new arpg player or gamer in general) and have used all your potions there is no reliable way to fill up your potions other then kill mobs. But sometimes you run into a wall (B.A.M.) which you cant kill too easy.

Solution idea: When entering town, a new Echo or dieing refill potions to a certain amount.

Leveling to 100 is too easy.

Reason: To reach level 100 is too easy in Last Epoch and people tend to quit when reaching 100 since it could be a reasonable set target.

Solution idea: Increase the XP needed for Level 100 from level ~96 on drastically so its only a few level/skillpoints and you do not miss too many of those but still give a little more challenge to level up to 100.

Hoarding items in the stash is expensive.

Reason: Right now we pay 10k per Stashtab but in this game we have to hoard alot items f.e. Keys/Legendary Potential items for future builds/ Idols and so on.

(personal reason) After only 1 week of grinding im happy owner of 32 stashes and still need more since i wanna try out all the classes, dont want to waste good bases, idols or legendary potential items i might want. i even have a full tab of keys already :smiley:

Solution idea: From Stash 25 on let the price not go higher. that means stash 25 costs 250k gold, stash 26 costs 250k gold, stash 27 costs 250k gold and so on. so there is a max price for stashes. Or reduce the baseprice for stashes from 10k to 5k.

Defeating multiple bosses to push corruption does not feel too rewarding.

Reason: After defeating 10x the Echo boss and pushing then the rift you only get around 50+ corruption. To kill 10x the Echo boss takes a long time and is not that efficient as if you would only kill 1x the boss and go out further the map to increase corruption gained from the web reset echo.

Solution idea: Give more Corruption per boss killed in the actual run.

When respeccing a character you need to farm all the blessings again which takes a lot of time.

Reason: Different builds might need different blessings so they work ok/good. The time needed to do so is too much to build up new blessings. Also if you just want to test a build and want to respec later you need to do all the work two times.

Solution idea: A blessing system where you can save/unlock/upgrade certain blessings and then choose from them in a list when you defeat the boss would be great.

Random Character order

Reason: The character order changes from time to time in a not clear way and if you have some more chars you need to search for your character.

Solution idea: Lets us change the character order.

Tedious questing through acts.

Reason: Some people dont enjoy to run acts over and over again.

Solution idea: Make it so you can get idol slots and skillpoints also by certain things you do in echos. like 1 point for each boss you kill or resetting the web or something similar.

Damage Scaling is not intuitive.

Reason: Damage numbers for dots are not shown and not seen in the tooltip damage (cold dot bear f.e.).

Solution idea: A more detailed damage output number somewhere in the character sheet would be great (like PoE’s)

Almost no setitem is used in any build.

Reason: Sets can be fun if they are not overtuned.

Solution idea: Just make them better but not OP, k thx bye.

There is no way to filter out/highlight glyphs/runes/shards in the itemfilter.

Reason: Some glyphs/runes/shards are more important then others and at some point you either want or you dont wanna miss some of them.

Solution idea: Let us filter glyphs/runes/shards with the lootfilter aswell.
(potions aswell? recoloring atleast)

Filter color diversity is not the best atm.

Reason: F.e. red is like the red from potions some colors are the same as the base items ingame. Its hard if you want to filter out some items and want to exactly know what item you filtered out you see on the ground.

Solution idea: Let us not only change the background but also the textcolor, size

Snow/Desert maps are too bright.

Reason: At some maps you cant see your minimap or your map overlay. especially the snow and desert maps.

Solution idea: no idea

Unlocking empowered monoliths on alts.

Reason: Unlocking empowered monoliths is tedious and boring if you play/test alot characters/builds and/or have good gear on them already.

Solution idea: Make it accountwide so you can choose with alts what content you want to play.

Hoarding unique items which you will need at some point maybe (not).

Reason: At the moment we need to store all Unique items with legendary power since we dont know what we wanna play in the future which creates a huge mess in the stash.

Solution idea: Extracting legendary power from uniques which creates usable Legendary power tokens which you can then put on a new unique item of the same. like if you extract a power from the “Hell Reach Bow” with legendary power of 3 you get an item which will then create a item “Hell Reach Bow Powerboost (3)” which then can be used on a new Hell Reach Bow with no Legendary power to boost its power to 3. Powerboost Item gets then destroyed of course. This would make stashing all those Legendary powers much more easier and more efficient.

Unique Items for Leveling alts are missing.

Reason/Solution: There could be some more level uniques such as “Hammer of Lorent”, which have some benefits for low level. Also some Resist, movement and so on would be great so you can just level yourself more easier.

Set Items dont have potential.

Reason: Set items are underpowered at the moment and almost not used in any build.

Solution idea: Give them legendary potential.

If you destroy your first belt you dont get any potions dropped and cant store any potion.

Reason: Sometimes you make weird stuff and destroy the belt from the start.

Solution idea: Make base potion slot from 0 to 1

Respeccing from one to another specc is tedious.

Reason: When you play in a group with friends you kinda wanna opt your build (for optimisation reasons or cause some things dont work together). So you kinda respecc alot.

Solution idea: Let us create templates so we just click them and only have to relevel our skills (automatic reallocating the points)

In Echos you can loose your mates.

Reason: There is no indicator to find your friend in echoes when hes out of the minimap/overlay range.

Solution idea: A little arrow on the side of the minimap which shows in what direction our mate is.

Adding new rules for teammates.

Reason: When playing in a group we need to add rules for the items the mate needs.

Solution idea: Let us copy/paste specific lootrules in a lootfilter itself we can share in the group so you can easily give your mates a recolor of the items you personally need.

Navigating through acts is confusing and not intuitive

Reason: Most of the people i asked do not know where act 3 is for example on the map and are confused where to go when questing.

Solution idea: Overhaul the map so you can clearly see which act is where.

Hello,

I would like to add one suggestion.

For me the most important motivation to play after you reach endgame and got your character going, is to have goals to achieve.
Not just to get your same build more powerful to clear the same content just more difficult. There is the need of new areas, new bosses or unique encounter and items only achievable after you are truly powerful.

I agree with most of the suggestions in this post. I would like to rank the most important ones according to my personal priority.

high:

Unless you want to respec a skill. Then they’re perfect for it. If you’re at about 200 corruption one of these can get your skill to like 18 or 19 in a single pop.

It’s great you’re giving your thoughts on this, but I hope this doesn’t start another SHARDPICKUP/NOSHARDPICKUP debate. There are probably at least 2 dozen of these already just in the last 3 months.

Adding another node choice in Monos might be kinda cool like. “monsters have +25% damage and twice as many spawn” or something to that effect.

This is actually forthcoming. They’ve said that by 1.0 the curve is going to VASTLY slow down from 95-100. They want those last five levels to be that end game reward sort of feeling.

I don’t think it’s quite random (i think it’s in order of when they were created) but I agree, I’d like to see it alphabetical or by level or something that’s a little easier for the player to remember.

Hard disagree on this. I wouldn’t mind something that gives an alt a boost (a more low key version of what’s inplace now for your character to ‘catch up’ in other monos on that character only) but completely unlocking them for every character I think would trivialize it way too much.

A wild “AAAAH MY EYES!!!”-Echo appears in the middle of the night.

Agreeing 1000% - make them darker - fill up floor with monsters will also do that :o

Hi guys, I tried to search this topic but I couldn’t find it so here we go:

Vertical attacks - didn’t realize it until played throwing build - on some maps it is just kinda buggy for me that you are not hiting enemies and vice versa. Difference in heights is just literaly like 20/30cm in game, yet you cannot land shuriken on them or umbral blade (with target rune), because it can’t find the path to the target.

Meanwhile you can cast through walls on other maps easily.

For now definitely game breaking - didn’t realize it before on melee builds or totem build.
