Been using Lightning Javelin Paladin, but feels that the support for throwing skill and lightning skill is still lacking in the Sentinel. Since now Paladin is short of a skill compared to other masteries, I was hoping we can see a Lightning Throw skill that can also have a spell damage node.
So I was thinking a skill called Holy Shackle, where the Paladin would throw a Shackle (like D3 Demonhunter’s Entangling Shot) at the target unit. The Holy Shackle deals LIGHTNING DAMAGE and applies to 1 stack of SLOW to the target every second for 3 second.
Some of the potential nodes:
Chain Shackle - Holy Shackle chains to nearby enemies.
Shocking Bind - Holy Shackle applies Shock to enemies.
Storm Inducer - Shackled units deal LIGHTNING SPELL DoT to nearby enemies. (This adds a Lightning Spell component to the skill)
Burning Chains - Converts Holy Shackle’s base damage to Fire.
Self-Flagellation - Now casts Holy Shackle to Paladin himself, but gains increased damage, attack speed, and armor.
Insulator - X% Lightning Damage taken is converted to Physical with Self-Flagellation
Just throwing some ideas because I wanted to see more support for Lightning Build in Sentinels.
