Is Lightning Blast always considered a “lightning skill” even if it does cold damage?
The effect of the crackling precision passive skill is doubled for lightning skills. I’m trying to understand if I’ll get double crit strike increase if I have Lightning Blast do cold damage.
Adding cold damage or making a skill DO cold damage is different than CONVERTING a skill to cold damage. With lightning blast your converting it so it no longer has the lightning tag. You can see this if you hover over it on the skill bar, it will say cold, spell, intelligence instead of lightning, spell, intelligence. so no it wont make use of the crackling precision passive skill doubling.
