Lightning Blast - Halo Effect node does not function

The Halo Effect node within Lightning Blast doesn’t actually create Spark Novas.

I’ve also bugged it in game last cycle and this cycle. It simply doesn’t create spark novas, not at the point of impact, not at the character location, or anything. It doesn’t seem to be map dependent or blocked by any other functionality as far as I can tell.

This bug still exists, I’ve done a little more testing on it:

  • It doesn’t seem to be a problem with a misplaced decimal (1% chance instead of 100% chance). I fired off a couple hundred blasts and didn’t see any novas.

  • It doesn’t seem that spark nova just has a really small radius

  • Doesn’t seem to be related to mana levels

This bug still exists after the Imperial Uprising event patch. I’m not sure if there’s any additional testing I can do on it to see what it does, but I’d love it to get fixed.

Just gon up the count here, so they don’t miss fixing it for the next patch.

It’s something I’ve been wanting to use for years now. (Unlike your OP suggests, this bug has been around since 0.8.x, at least 2 years so far.)

It worked for a while, I made a build guide for a build that utilized it that I really enjoyed. I’d love for it to get fixed so I can revisit the build in a new cycle.
