Lightning Aegis buff icon not shown for full duration

I use the static armor node of the skill static orb to get lightning Aegis consistently for 8 seconds.

Expected behavior: the buff icon is displayed for 8 seconds.

Actual behavior: the buff icon is displayed for a random duration between 1-8 seconds.

I don’t know if the buff / damage reduction is also affected or if it is just a buff icon issue.

You’re losing the buff because you’re taking damage equivalent to 25% of your max HP. Even if all that damage is done to ward, it still counts. I very much dislike it, but that’s what is happening.
