Lighting Blast and nodes insidious conduction, effluent defense, chain lighting

the ward granted is off : by emtying my 217 mana pool (~5s of channeling)l and with 140% ward retention, no ward on mana convertion and ward on hit chance I ended up with ~2000 ward.

This scale whit the number of points in chain lighting (the added mana cost i guess):

  • wtih 3 points i end with 1500
  • with 4 points i end with 2000

also the ward decay seems to be disable while chaneling (or i am granted to much ward to see any effect)

Are your numbers above taking into consideration that -50% ward on hit from Insidious Conduction?

with nodes insidious conduction (channelling), positive protection (ward on hit) and chain lightning (more mana cost on the initial cost when the skill is channelled) by emptying my mana pool i end up with 200 wards. This seems ok.

effluent defenses give u 2 wards per upfont mana spent (lighitng blast with 4 chian lightning has 12 initial cost) with ward decay this shouldnt make any difference. So i expected to end up with 200 or so ward.

But in practicewith effluent defenses i ended up with 2000 wards

I believe I’ve found the issue. The ward granted by Effluent Defenses is being triggered each time Lightning Blast chains while you have the Convergence node. If you don’t have either of those nodes, it works as expected. Thanks for the report!
