TLDR I want the ability to leech damage as ward while in reaper form.
So what I would like to see is for the lich mastery specifically the lich mastery skill “reaper form” to gain the ability to convert heath leech to ward leech.
Now first thing first without restrictions/ balancing this “idea” I can be seen as a no go as it work be “OP”
I have a few suggestions of how to incorporate my idea and to ideally balance it. With consideration that I do t know everything and people will brake anything they can.
First way I would make this work is by taking a current unique body called “ Architects of Astral Blood”. And then add a unique mod that would say “while in reaper form health leech is converted to ward leech”. The reason for this item choice is it puts a limit on total possible ward. And can be great if you do this but it going to Broken/OP would require gear that would be OP through slams. So good by its self great with slams and broken/OP in the hand of a no life min/maxer.
Just for example of ok as is and op with correct gear. The body armour currently with 1k life is 2,400 ward. And on my current lich I’m playing with 3k hp it’s sits around 7,200 max ward.
Two other ways ward leech for reaper form could be introduced is either a skill tree node or a passive tree threshold bonus or could be the lich mastery passive bonus. But as those will come with no limits obviously a system with no cap on how much ward u can have would need to be balanced. That’s a job for someone else who’s better at dialing back things.
The reason I want this is mastery identity. And giving ward leech exclusively to lich and particularly the master skill “reaper form” with proper implementation I believe would be a great bonus to lich.
Obviously I get u can leech dmg to hp as hp is limited by base value and can only go so far set by stat limitation. And ward has no limit which I believe at least one of the reasons ward leech isn’t a thing. I personally believe that altering the uni body I said would be the correct decision or at least good concept idea to make this work.
