Lich Passive Scornful Blood - More details please

“Instead of healing you, your leech drains the health of an enemy within 6 meters every 0.25 seconds.”

“Drains health”, is this the same mechanic as it is on the lich, ie: typeless, similar to reflect damage? Or does it share damage type with the skill in use?

The term drain suggests transferring though I would assume because it says it doesn’t heal you that it merely does damage?

Is this effect attach to a ability/spell that scales off of anything?

“an enemey” one target at a time?

“every .25 seconds” does this mean is changes targets every 1/4 second or acquires new ones?

Is the damage a hit or a DOT or neither?

“your leech” is the damage dealt and the speed of damage based on lifesteal % and leech rate?

SO many questions, so little sentence

Bump because I’m also looking for the answer to this question

The health drain isn’t damage – it simply reduces the health of a monster by a portion of the health you’re leeching. So it doesn’t have a damage type, and it’s neither a hit nor a DoT.

I assume that the important part is it swaps it from “healing” to draining for any passive that would reference drain. So if you had the passive that prevents drain but turns it into dps, that would be removing any healing to increase the damage. Except it’s already on things that drain? I genuinely don’t know how this is supposed to work. My best guess is it adds a further damage component by removing the healing, but then doesn’t that make the passive that transfers drain into damage not work anymore? This is a head scratcher.

Maybe it changes the function of the drain from an up front one and done to a consistent drain over the next 6 seconds, assuming you are close enough to the target, but it doesn’t heal, but it drains, which would trigger the drain from itself to not heal and instead drain… I have no idea.
