Lich & Necromancer Updates | Coming to Last Epoch August 21st

Lich is basically not played at all… so seems fairly unanimous there.

Showcases ‘it has clear issues for the state of the game’. So for a change I’m with ABomb on this, likely mechanical as I’ve also tried out Lich and it was surprisingly… un-fun and tedious for basically no reward for that tedium.

I know quite a few guys who plays Lich me included of course. Don’t you think that makes ‘not played at all’ a bit misleading? Maybe it is not as popular as other masteries ok but that’s why it’s being overhauled in 1.3 isn’t it? Again ‘fun’ is subjective. For me Sentinel is not fun for example, even though it being current meta and op. Lich has a unique mechanics and instead of removing it the devs better improve it and make more appealing for players who currently dont like it. Just my thoughts

If you miss to read the ‘basically’ then not

But if you ignore that word it definitely does! Not what I wrote though… it’s only what reached your brain by selectively processing parts of my post.

Also didn’t argue about removing it, solely pointed out ‘it has issues and it’s kinda hard to argue against that’.

ooo that a piece of logics  and I dont even want to touch your brain dude. Sleep well

If Exsanguinous still grants immunity to bleeding at low health, then the decay aura can be left on)

Ok, ty!

I might have to do a quick Lich playthrou as I have NFC what they even do now

I hope that the devour animation doesn’t take 1.3 seconds like wraithlord’s, distracting it from dealing damage. Devouring remembered minions is a nice solution to remove the decay, love it.
Will it devour the wraithlord, if wraiths were consumed during creation?
Will the hidden bonuses per consumed minion stay the same? 30% damage, flat health from consumed minion, with a cap of 20?

Does this mean, that bone nova is removed? It is my favorite, 2.5 second cooldown, nice clear, big damage, and also good single target (when positioned correctly it was hitting the same enemy 3 or even 5 times).

Looking forward to that!

Great stuff, give us the full patch notes

how are you going to handle mtx of skills that drastically changed (rip blood.) will points be refunded?

In the flay pic “dexterity scaling gains 0 melee physical damage 2 per point” lol am I reading that wrong or missing something? I’ve never played lich but isnt 2 x 0, 0? Just wondering why that line about dex scaling is there?

I was thinking that. Hopefully I don’t have to use dread shade either. I just want a powerful zoo army without shade gimmicks. Minions need to be powerful on their own without other mandatory skills/mechanics propping them up.

Really hope the passive and skill changes for necro are super juicy!! Let me have 12 mages, a lot of archers, warriors, golems etc. 30-40 minions.

Ironically Sentinel might be the best minion build. FG with T-rex Manifest armor and forged weapons. (I’m thinking forged weapons or manifest armor might get a tuning pass to)

Yes you are missing

In that pic the character has no Dex so there is no increase. If that character had 10 dex it would say “Gains 20 melee damage” since 10 x 2 = 20.

You can see that character is using 22 int. Since it has 88% increase damage. Gains 4% per Int.

If you are scaling the ailements of flay you will want to use Int. If you are scaling the hit damage you want to use Dex.

Hope that helps

Man… was really hoping for more balance of passives currently sentinels get health, mana, damage tons of resists, block, and movement speed to the point the barely need res on gear.
Meanwhile acolytes the other classes get one or two resistances at lower values and their health and damage nodes are just flat worse.
Sentinels passive trees are just so overload with stats compared to the other classes allowing for easy gearing and gearing for damage or defense.
Was hoping the lich/necro/acolyte rework would bring them more passive power and the other classes later.
I don’t know how you justify playing anything but sentinel especially if you want to boss on HC.

Because this is Hype Week, I think that they are putting the best they have upfront. Which means that maybe it is it, mostly, for minions.

I am hoping for Transference they mean the enemy takes the aura and you don’t get damaged by it at all while its not on you. Letting you dps or run away while hitting them with a DOT. Would be a bit sad if it still hit you inside its aoe, lets hope they just worded it wrong!
