Lethal Mirage end placement

Is it possible for Lethal Mirage to place my character where my mouse was targeting when I activated the skill rather than back to her original position? As it stands currently, it’s an evasive maneuver that’s actually really dangerous to use because it always puts you back right in the thick of all the enemy AoEs. They target your last position and frequently hit you with their hardest abilities right when you come back, even if you were trying to avoid a hard hitting ability with it in the first place.

Holding shift still leaves me vulnerable for a split second, and begs the question why I don’t just shift in the first place rather than using Lethal Mirage. I really like Lethal Mirage from a visual standpoint however, and it does synergize well with leech.

As it stands now, it seems to do less single target damage than just stacking Shadow Cascades on top of a target, and has way less clear. I’m hoping this is a result of my build, or of Shadow Cascade being too strong. Damage aside, it really stands out in a class full of repositioning abilities that this one locks you into one spot.

but can’t you bait the enemies (maybe with decoy), then shift to a safe spot (and get all the damage boni from shift’s tree) and then lethal mirage?

That’s a lot of work for something that would normally just take one skill (decoy) and probably do less damage than just unloading your highest DPS skill while the enemies are distracted for those several seconds. If you have to buy yourself time to use an evasive move that is not higher damage than alternatives, the move probably needs some help.

lethal mirage can do tons of damage. dread made yt guide some months ago. i’d suggest getting some inspiration from that.

Lethal Mirage is one of the very few medium/long cooldown skills in LE that actually has the damage potential to be considered “main damage” skills.

On my Lightning Lethal Mirage Blade Dancer I can literally kill most bosses below 300 corruption with one rotation(some debuff/prep into one single Lethal Mirage).

Sometimes bosses do survive with minimal HP, because of the hilarious adaptive damage reduction they get, when they get nuked.

But deleting a Shade of Orobyss within 3 seconds is actually borderline broken. (it’s not really broken because the build lacks severe AoE/Clear, but it will become very attractive in MP, if you Party does the clearing and you do the Bosses/Tough Rares)

I gave up this skill precisely because of this. I would like to see any change of position.
Please note, you are not just standing still, but also continue to receive debuffs.

Ty for the replies telling me about the damage. That confirms that it’s a skill issue on my end. The positioning thing does still feel bad though, especially with the information about debuffs provided by enuwepoch.
