Getting that one legendary with all the right stats is extremely difficult. Finding the unique with enough LP, the unique having good rolls and then finding the right exalted. Even in MG high-end items are difficult to get your hands on.
I’m aware that the RNG is part of the game and opening the Sanctum Forge and seeing the right stats on your legendary is awesome and I wouldn’t want to change that. However, once you got that legendary with the right stats, chances are you’ll never swap it out, even if you find another Unique with the right LP, since the chances to get it again are just abysmal. So here’s my idea to let us improve on our legendaries without too much pain.
Allow us to use legendaries in the Eternity Cache. Obviously the LP would have to match. That way, if players get their hands on a unique with better unique stats than the already crafted legendary, we can get the forged affixes on that improved unique without the RNG.
I feel like once we got lucky and got the right affixes on the legendary we shouldn’t have to go through the whole RNG again to get an upgrade on the unique stats.
