If I understand it correctly, it depends on how many Legendary potentials the Unique has as far as how many stats it pulls over from the Exalted item, is that correct? Let’s say I’m trying to craft a 2h staff and I’m using a Unique with 1 Potential. My Exalted item has 250% increased fire damage which I really want. Are any stats of the Unique retained at all? Or does it create a whole new legendary 2h staff with one of the random affixes of the Exalted item and the other stats would be made up/rolled by the system (so I could potentially lose that 250% increase)? Is there a chance that the Legendary rolls are low and it actually ends up not being good at all for my build?
Sorry for the questions. Just trying to understand the system better before I do the dungeon to get there.
The stats on the Unique don’t change at all, they are set. The 1LP Unique staff you are trying to make Legendary will pull 1 of the Affixes from your Exalted staff and the rolls on that affix will remain as they are on the original Exalted staff.
So what you will end up with is the Unique you started with with its original rolls, plus 1 affix from the Exalted that you used to make it Legendary.
Thanks Travoas. So having said that, the best Uniques will have (4) LP which would pull all 4 affixes from the Exalted item (if it has 4). So if the Unique 4LP already had 4 affixes and the Exalted had 4 affixes, you’d end up with a legendary with 8 affixes?
whatever affixes the unique has on it + #-LP (1-4) it pulls randomly from an exalted (this also needs four affixes to be crafted
