Are the affixes weighted for rarity to pass onto the unique? I’m currently 0/10 trying to pass a t7 void damage affix on a 2 LP weapon. Either im the most unlucky person in the game to not hit that roll once, or the chances are weighed depending on the tier of the affix (my guess on this).
According to them it’s just random. I tried to pass +2 lvl of frost claw 15 times for a Lp(1), all failed. I think it’s just a poorly designed system. But, theoretically it doesn’t depend on the weights… t1 would have the same chance as t7.
In any case, they should add an in-game tooltip indicating the chance, to prevent people from searching for external information.
For 50% chance ten time in row so U very unlucky - 1/1024 chance - worst thing that RNG don’t remeber past result next time it’s still will be 50/50
I personally dont think this is bad design, i mean you get the chance to craft the strongest item for your build. If this would be easy or “fair” then is it rly rewarding in relation to how powerfull you can get.
LP 1 - 25%
LP 2 - 16,67%
LP 3 - 25%
LP 4 - 100%
These are your chances to get the desired combinations onto your stuff.
So you have insanely low drop rates with rolls, you’ll not get the perfect exalt (as shown in many builds) and in the end there’s just a 16-25% chance that you transfer what you want.
Insane system.
Nope, it’s 50/50. Either you get it or you don’t.
You have a link or article to back this up? any reference?
No hate i rly wanna know.
You want me to link you a source about basic math aka probability calculation / stochastics?
I actually missread this. I get it.
When he have 2 LP and want one t7 affix to craft there is 50% chance that one of 2 legendary places:
One choosen is crafted:
LP 1 - 25%
LP 2 - 50%
LP 3 - 75%
LP 4 - 100%
For the OPs situation that’s correct, yeah. I can’t remove the link to your post in my previous post unfortunately.
That is it perfect rolls are rare, as perfect crafts too.
U can have 4 usefull afixes and get 1 or 2 or 3 or all of them. U don’t need perfect craft, this something special not required to make good build
I know but having good items is what I want. That’s why I’m playing this game. The gameplay itself is boring and repetitive.
But almost two weeks without zero to almost no progression (Not a single useful 2LP drop) is killing me right now. And that’s just one of three factors to process.
I guess it’s the wrong game for me…
I see a lot of people want some mechanism too make craft predictable or with sure results.
I think some kind of currency/glyph which for example lock affix to be crafted will be a good idea, then chances will be better.
I understand your frustration, i played 200h in cof and i was switching builds and chars when i found something usefull/interesting.
Improving one already good gear is extremely time consuming - that is alike in all real Arpg games
Look at this, in all games there comes a time when you hit a wall:
Define ‘Insanely low’. It entirely depends on the unique, the base type and the affixes you want to put on there as well as how much LP baseline you want to have.
Also the system is made on top of everything else, the base-game functions without any LP on any unique to finish it - and get to a decently high corruption, close to 300 commonly - without a single legendary item.
Then this is the wrong game for you alas.
ARPGs of this type need to be enjoyable to play to keep you engaged enough to go for the grind. And the grind is there to keep us motivated so we don’t loose interest in the gameplay along the line.
There is not rly much content right now if you wanna have fun with 1 char.
If you are the type of player who likes to craft different builds you can actually have fun for a long time but most ppl stick to 1 character.
Or when U fill You grind too much/hit the wall. You can start alternative character, this my my way of playing arpg. And the better the arpg, the later you hit a wall.
This only a game, and when you start to get bored, take a break and come back when there are changes and new things
There are so many things that would improve the situation like removing the legendary stats to have the possibilty to craft again aka not burning the item completely. Or what you said. But right now it feels like wasting my time and nothing else.
To my needs.
I guess that’s the conclusion and probably will uninstall by the end of the week.
I’d like to try different masteries but I want to reach my goal first.
That was to have a decent gear (at least T2 with good stats) within one cycle. I can bring up the time but if I extrapolate this to the remaining weeks I assume it’s nearly impossible. → previous post: the game’s not for me
Oh, if you make secondary characters to try out you have a decent chance to find gear to upgrade your first one along the line.
So if that’s something you enjoy then it might be worth the time.
