[le-13] authentication error

How to solve this error? I don’t know why I often have this problem. Through Steam.

This problem has been solved by… I don’t know. But here are some phenomenons can help you guys to locate this problem.

  1. I have find the ‘Could not resolve host: api.lastepoch.com’ in my Player.log.
  2. There is no response when I ping ‘api.lastepoch.com’, and at this time, the [LE-13] is exists.
  3. After about tens of minutes, there is no problem when I ping ‘api.lastepoch.com’, and at same time, the [LE-13] is disappeared. So I think, maybe something wrong with the server of api.lastepoch.com.

Hi,

Resolving the Host is a DNS function… I.,e. your system contacts its configured DNS server to get the IP address of api.lastepoch.com.

Problems with this can be caused by a problem on your network, local DNS server/forwarder, a problem with your router etc or a problem with your upstream ISP DNS… It also sometimes happens when DNS information is updated and being replicated to all the other authorative DNS servers on the net - but this would affect everyone, not just you.

If your computer cannot resolve the IP address of a DNS entry then you will not be able to ping the address provided… At this stage of the communication process, it has nothing to do with the actual server you are trying to reach but the fact that your system cannot find the IP address of the server. If the server were down or unreachable, then you would get different errors.

The fact that you waited a while and tried again lends me to believe that your have a timeout/delay issue with your DNS setup (either on your local network or at your ISP level)… Typically DNS entries are cached based on a time to live setting so by trying to resovle the address, the query was queued somewhere and after a little while the DNS entry was updated and you were then able to resolve it and the game could contact the server properly via the IP address.

Yes, you are right.
I have changed the DNS address from auto get the ISP DNS address to 8.8.8.8, the error is disappear.
