Last epoch tools don't really cover any leveling 1-50 builds

I’ve been scrolling through the builds for a paladin and I see builds for like OP End game builds and one for leveling, but it shows end game content and that’s deceiving… I honestly am shocked on how their is not a single person or player that won’t make a 1-50 guide… I don’t like Max Roll because they don’t do good on there own either… I suck at making builds but would like to follow at least one simple guide that’s actually legit.

I don’t know how good they are, but you can try Last Epoch News and Guides - Last Epoch - Icy Veins
They also have a bunch of leveling guides.

I am surprised you don’t like Maxroll.
While I don’t really see the point of guides for low levels, if you are looking for a step by step, I think theirs are very well formatted.
Each skill tree tells you in which order to put the points, same for passives, and the gear is split into four categories, from starter gear to aspirational.
What else would you want?

1-50 is pretty easy and requires a few uniques to fly through the game. Get a firestarter which does spreading flames to all the mobs and this will also increase any ignites. You can use hammers, warpath and just build into this. If you have a fire tag then Calamity is lvl 7 to use and huge ignite chance.

I also typically use some 2-3 LP lvling gear like lessons of metropolis and phantom gloves for the swiftness. At level 8 I have 65% movement speed and now you are set just zip through lite everything on fire. You are through the campaign in a few hours and lvl 58.

Also sunwreath rings are lvl 21 huge fire damage to trivialize everything which is fun.

where do you get those weapons from? I’m level 25

Seems to be random drop. It’s pretty common. Even at no LP it’s strong because of spreading flames. I use it in all my lvling builds and have one with 3LP I crafted to speed run lvling.

Edit- Just got one in a Nemesis. So look out for them too.

Your first character I’m assuming? If so it should drop for you hopefully soon I thought maybe you were lvling Alts and wanted fast ways to lvl. I’d pop chest you see as it can come from any source.

Grab a 2-hander, learn Warpath, put points into damage and mana cost. Leveling build done, lasts until lvl 50. Keep upgrading your weapon.

For the vast majority of builds you can directly work towards your endgame setup and you don’t really need dedicated leveling builds.
That’s why they are not really common in LE.

Looks more like a void knight build to me due to the void damage.
Seeing this is for a first timer I would also not gimp the elemental resistances but rather suggest picking an item with mana regeneration. Otherwise the OP might not be able to handle the cold damage in the Wengari area.
Warpath is a solid advice though but I would for a Palidain take the bottom left route, i.e. fire damage instead of void damage. Note that from Earthscorcher on you need to look out for fire damage on your items instead of physical damage.
If you invest in wind of justice then you would also have to learn the skill Smite. That however would bring you into a Melee/Spell dilemma which you could perhaps mitigate by primarily investin in fire which would benefit both.

In any case the fact that you are asking for a guide implies to me that not everything is super simple despite what some might be telling you here. That is perfectly normal, it takes some learning the game.
Around level 58 you will encounter the boss “Lagon” which most likely will give you a hard time as well, which is also normal. Just stick to it.

Personally I’ll stay away from Maxroll builds because they did not properly check their build guides (or at least two of them) and provided completely unreachable stat goals.

For those that care, here’s the longer version: I was following one of their build guides in the 1.0 cycle and while it wasn’t completely awful, I was definitely really underwhelmed and the friends I was playing with were doing much better. When I took a closer look, I realized that they have stat goals that are simply not possible because there’s only so many affixes you can pick.
For a build that was written by someone with quite a bit of experience and then it was also reviewed by another person I can only say that I was beyond disappointed and it ruined my “trust” in the builds on Maxroll.
I checked another build for this kind of problem and it also had unattainable stat goals (I don’t remember which one it was though).
Once I changed my character to a different build I was immediately doing better (or at least equal) in every regard - and that was before even getting decent gear for the new build (I was using uniques with LP instead of converting them to legendary, using “random” semi-fitting exalted, etc.)

I think I might just stay away from guides all together and just learn it on my own and get to 50-100 and then care more about builds that way… Right now I just chose smite and rive

Leveling guide for 1-50:

Build up resis when you head towards lagoon or majasa. Outside of this take whatever skills and smash your head on the keyboard.

That’s perfectly viable in Last Epoch… You just need to learn how to build up your defensive and offensive layers. Once you figure how those systems work, you can make a build out of any skills you like.

Maybe, instead of reading build guides, you can try game system guides such as this below.
It covers pretty much everything you need o know about defenses in LE, so you can be more independent when making your own builds.

Have fun and good luck!

Alongside this, I highly suggest looking at https://www.lastepochtools.com/planner/

Don’t worry about gear/blessings/idols, and just look at the passives and skills. You can spend some time playing around with the skills and see what could seem fun on paper and then start playing towards that build. Using whatever you find along the way for gear.

Then if you get a skill and it doesn’t work like you expected it to, you can go back to the planner and tweak things.

I have a build prepared for all 15 masteries and then I just level that character and work my way up towards my planned build. It’s a lot of fun!

It’s how I leveled both my paladins. Void doesn’t automatically equal void knight though. The main point is taking the big flat damage boost and doubling it with 2h, simple and effective. Void conversion is just a cherry on top, so you have only one damage type to focus on.

Well, nobody is stopping you  You could simply grab some mana regen from gear. Paladins have the holy aura that solves it.
