I play Warlock in Hc and you should absolutely fix bugged Op stuff.
You should value the integrity of your game. Doing so should net you way more player loyalty than losing the people who might not accept that they cannot use an OP-interaction that’s clearly beyond everyone elses level anymore.
Exactly, it’s a game, not freaking olympics. I couldn’t care less if some no-lifer is annoyed by leaderboards beign Locks and Falconers. After years of PoE just gathering chaos orbs to buy gear, I can finally craft my own and I am having a blast trying all 15 fck-ing classes
Amin
+1.
Dr3adful has an accurate view on this. People always compare themselves to other players in an online game, and if someone is abusing a bug to vastly outperform your build without any investment, who would want to play their ‘fair but inferior’ build?
About the leaderboards, I’ve just internally decided to ignore all warlocks in them
If you fix the profane veil midcycle, you will lose 90% of your Warlock player base, which is 50% of the game. Not a sane person cares about leaderboards in ARPGs; the only guy with whom you really compete is yourself.
That’s the worst descission since the snowwhite remake… dafuq?
This is just extremely sad decision. Now keys are waste, sets are waste, tomes are waste. Was really happy after 1.0 that I had some reason to run tome reward monos. You guys should think again the difference between apparent bugs and “balance changes”.
best decision they made imo they dont want to loose players this is an ARPG
We can agree to disagree here np ^^.
Love a post where someone grabs random figures out of the air and presents them as facts. If something is bugged, surely a ‚sane‘ person would expect it to be fixed as soon as possible.
Nope, what I mean do absolute nothing is : not getting any progress in development.
Knowing something is potentially bad and decide not to do, sometimes still count as a progress, because this process still give some experience to use in the future.
The result may remain the same, but FOR A REASON after a debate.
And the nonsense some player create in this forum is like :
If there is ANY bit they don’t like in the new patch note, all their post ignore the improvement made in this patch, just focus on shitting some changes they don’t like using some over-exaggerate example and childish word,
while act like they are not whining but trying to help (nope, not helping).
Some player just refuse to see through the illusion of : if there is something I want it to change but it’s not changed, then this patch note is garbage and devs is not doing their job right.
When hundreds of post like this level adds up, patch note reads like a shit.
Do whatever you will do like there is never a thing called CoF showing up.
You are not hoarding the key before 1.0 like its valuable treasure (you haven’t sold a single key) and wish the key value will go skyrocket in the future, so why bother?
It’s not end of the Eterra, take it easy.
Bug fix is not a nerf.
Key price thing probably there to combat gold seller, but gold seller are botting and will keep chugging along. In the end, this will reduce legitimate player’s gold income and might even increase lucrativeness of buying gold if farming gold become a chore.
Not random figures at all, mate. I’m a veteran arpg player with more than 20k hours. Casuals will always whine about every possible thing. This is why most of the games went downfall listening to casual people with a zero mindset. you are playing alone no1 is hurting you enjoy the game
Fix the bugs
Screw our feelings about it please.
for the love of all that is still pure in this world, please don’t start making the same mistakes that have run bigger companies into the ground.
I grew up on the Diablo series since D1 and haven’t been this excited about an ARPG since D2.
Blizzard ran their I.P into the ground by getting further detached from their player base. Anyone abusing a busted mechanic can get upset all they want but they still know its busted.
Finally after you fix the busted mechanics…make an attempt to dig into ward before cycle 2 and rework it or else you will keep having issues with it.
Kripparian had a good suggestion. Cap it at something like 2x player health or something.
Id say then change the ward threshold to add to the cap rather than the minimum, allow players to have to dedicate affixes to it to really drive ward upwards.
I think it was a bad decision to not call cycle 0/1 the cycle of balance to begin with. One heavy handed patch before season 1/2 will make people go batshit crazy . All i can hope for is this post isn’t aging well because if not things went south.
Well… Honeymoon is over…
Bad decisions EHG.
lol why? enjoy the game istead of typing in forums.
Hello,
adding my voice to the “fix the bugs” team and I’m playing a warlock, it feels weird to be that powerful and tanky. While I get the ‘no nerf mid cycle’ stance and I appreciate it, having a really OP interactions means it will be that much harder to return to a baseline tankiness / powerfulness for future cycles.
Like with current path of exile league Affliction giving away so much valuable loot, I’m afraid I won’t play next leagues because of that.
Nerf my warlock ass, I don’t care, I wan’t to play a fair game for everyone.
just reroll another class if you like no1 is forcing u to play warlock.
