Compared to a lot of ARPGs, Last Epoch is one of the most fun and innovative that has come out in a long while. Right now, people are distracted with all the “new shineys” coming out. Everyone wants to try the new stuff. Last Epoch is still a game that can be built on and played for years to come. All endgames in any game is a grind. It’s optional. So, don’t diss the game just because you feel you are done with it. If you hated it that much, you wouldn’t have played until you burned out.
Besides, the developers worked hard on this game for like 7 years. They are ARPG players making a game for ARPG players. I think they have done a fantastic job overall. Never give up.
I agree. Its sad that Last Epoch lost so many players because of endgame lack, but the game is very new, more and more endgame and new things will be added to the game over time and player base will increase again.
I bought last epoch 5 years ago now. I never really made it past level 30 or so on the classes I tried. I did like the game though. Over this holiday break I decided to check it out again after it officially launched 1.0 and now with 1.1. I started a runemaster and went through the campaign. Now I am just getting into the maelstrom and doing echoes. (I am a pretty casual player.)
I knew the game was good, but after going through it I feel it is pretty incredible for an ARPG. The controller support is very functional, graphics and art design are amazing, the story is cool going through the different timelines.
A button to add all shards to your crafting stash it so quality of life awesome. Sorting on inventory and stash as well.
I am having a ton of fun in the game right now. I started a warlock to check that out and have been flying through the campaign. Keep up the good work on this game!
LE is currently my favorite arpg and has been since I got into it for the 1.0 release. The combat is a little clunky compared to the much higher budget competition but they absolutely nailed so many of the games systems. Skills and passives are intuitive enough that you never feel the need to look up a guide, while still being very interesting and offering a lot of customization. The separate factions are a great solution to pleasing both crowds (and as someone who plays self found I absolutely love that I can still give my wife gear in the self found faction). Crafting is my favorite in the genre. I can actually play a dang hammerdin.
I’ve been kind of lost over in D4 land and just put 130 hours into poe2 and it’s just made me want to come back to LE. Very much looking forward to season 2 in April.
This ARPG is a diamond in the rough and I generally already liked thematically where EHG was going with time traveling and the skill tree and ideas. They don’t have the biggest budget so things like graphics or sound effect aren’t super comparable but the bones are there.
The crafting system is literally one of the best I have seen in a game and I appreciate how you could technically go into the monolith very early (albeit if over-level for the campaign makes that trivial)
I’m dying right now trying to pick up loot 1 by 1 in PoE2 and really makes me miss scooping up the affixes in 1 go on screen like Last Epoch.
