We have released a hotfix to fix several issues including players unable to access Champion’s Gate, bugs with both Summon Tide Elemental and Dreamslash, and more. We recommend downloading the update as soon as you can. To do this, exit Last Epoch and it should automatically download in Steam. If you don’t see an update available, restart Steam and you should then see it to download.
Bug Fixes
Arena
Fixed an issue where players could not navigate up the stairs in Champions Gate.
Skills
Summon Tide Elemental
Fixed an issue where visual effects from the minion could hide the other visual effects including enemy attack indicators.
Dreamslash
Fixed a bug where triggering Dreamslash from the Portentous Rage buff would still allow players to be moved by Dreamslash. This and similar effects will now instead create a Dreamslash that independently moves its maximum range, similar to those created by the Nightmare Steel node.
While the Nightmare Steel node is allocated, Dreamslash will no longer attempt to prioritize targeting enemies near the player when they are not hovering directly over an enemy.
Items
Fixed a bug where corrupting Unsated Rage could sometimes result in the item losing its variant modifier.
Fixed a bug where corrupting Frostbound Solitude could sometimes result in the item losing its variant modifier.
Fixed a bug where corrupting Withstand the Elements could sometimes result in the item losing its variant modifiers.
If you encounter any issues during your Season 5 gameplay, please let us know by using the In-Game Bug Report tool (default hotkey F8) and include as many details as possible. Thank you and see you in Eterra!
I cannot help but notice that, not only does the lack of a right analogue stick cursor remain present. But there hasn’t been a single acknowledgement from the devs that they are aware of the issue and working on reverting the change to remove it.
Please fix this, if is a huge detriment to those that play with a controller and does not bode well for the console release if you only gave a semi-functional way of playing the game with a controller.
The virtual cursor was always a temporary solution while we implemented proper controller navigation of the UI. We are aware that some of the menus aren’t quite polished enough yet and we are taking the reports in to fix those situations. The end goal is to be able to use the right stick in combat the make the gameplay play better on controllers overall.
Muffin offered the following workaround, which may help at least somewhat
1. Press the Steam button on your device.
2. Open Controller Settings for the specific game or your desktop layout.
3. Select Joystick (either Left or Right Stick, depending on your preference).
4. Change the input behavior from joystick movement to Asis Mouse or Mouse Joystick.
