Lagon Volatile Reversal Outside Arena

When fighting Lagon in the Ending the Storm Timeline, and I assume during the story, you can use Volatile Reversal to lock yourself out of the arena https://i.imgur.com/QZsGeAM.jpg

I just let myself die to restart the echo, but I didn’t know if there may be an easy fix for this like a one-way barrier or something so you aren’t able to lock yourself out of the arena

EDIT: Using Volatile Reversal at the >beginning< of the encounter, specifically. I tested if it affects the teleporting during phase changes, and it doesn’t.
