Lagon - Minion Build Issues in Monolith

So sorry if this is stupid, but I’ve hit a wall doing monoliths with my current minion build. I’m following this guide and hit level 70. I feel super powerful and can handle almost everything the game throws at me—except for Lagon in the “Ending the Storm” timeline.

The issue is that, no matter what I do, the minion AI gets them killed so quickly. Before I can respawn anything, I get oneshot. I’ve tried the stair trick, but eventually, I reach a point where I can’t spawn my minions fast enough because he oneshots them.

My question here is twofold:

  1. Is there a good minion guide specifically for this boss? I understand the mechanics and know what not to stand in, but I just can’t get the last 15% of his health down after 10 tries or so.
  2. Is there any way to completely skip him and let me keep on going in the endgame or will I keep having to fight him?

For reference I don’t mind boss mechanics, I’ve beat the campaign several times and get to T4 in Diablo and have leveled 3 alts in POE2 so I can handle dodging, etc. The minion AI is just brutal.

Thanks!!

Maxroll guides are good to start because they explain everything very well. But they’re not usually too optimized. Search for builds in lastepochtools.com instead. Either their written guides or the video builds, something should grab your attention.
I will also point you out to AaronRPG’s guides, because he’s a good content creator for LE, especially for minions. There should be plenty of his in the page I linked, but if not you can check his youtube channel. I think there’s a playlist for LE builds and stuff.

I’ve played melee zoo and here is my short list of tips
1 minion hp regen as max as possible on belt
2 bind A button to mouse button 4 (or5) and learn how to use it
3 more minion health
4 shared armor on golems
5 Scales of Lemniscate

Damn you were spot on. I added a ton of minion health and made sure I was making them move around. I honestly didn’t really know that commanding them was a viable thing and assumed it was like D4.

After days of trying when I felt like it I finally beat it haha.

Thanks!!
