Lagon Major bug?! Please FIX asap

Difficult to know how to word this but i will state it as follows:

Went to fight Lagon as the title says as the last boss at the end of a small alternate timeline instance, in a monolith. I run a minion build as a primalist currently, level 77, with a spriggan for sustained hp regen.

On the second attempt i got killed and after a few moments of starring into the abyss of my screen decided to test something. Admittedly, this was also encouraged by initial frustration too. Please bare with me on the following:

There presently, too my knowledge exists a bug whereby if you have minions, you can go into a arena, die and still gain the exp from the instance so long as you w8 in the respawn screen till everything’s dead.

I decided to try this on Lagon, with a twist. Upon my second death (as mentioned above) i remained in the respawn screen letting my minions kill lagon.

I completed the quest, updating its status, and was able to pick the blessing offered to me since it works on a separate pop up window which is not locked out by the respawn screen? In addition, i recieved a level from the exp earned.

Now, i must note, ive not tested what happens when you click respawn after this, and if you still retain all progress, items, and skill points etc, and somehow still update the quest progress, and i suspect it would not.

However, If you instead alt-f4 from the respawn screen after having received all of the above, and re launch the game, you load back into the end of time with the all the progress, the next monos unlocked (In my case level 80 maps), the skill point i received, the blessing etc all still there as if i never died.

I dont know if this has been reported yet, but in case its not pls pls pls see to it Devs that this is looked into in depth and fixed! It has the potential to undermine every boss in the game as well as facilitating exp farming abuse from within arenas.

(pls note: I cant rule out other types of instances similar to these two above also being affected by similar means, and i cannot condone blatant unjustified use of this bug by other players beyond that of research purposes and if they are willing to also report on their findings and related factors as i have here for the betterment of the game.)

This sounds like the known issues around post death boss killing (via minions or even DoTs like bleed killing the boss after you have died)… AND it sounds like the map persistence issue where things partially reset and dont update correctly if you leave a map prematurely etc… I think you have just taken it to the next “cheese” level by doing the alt-f4 process - I wouldnt do that btw… you can crash the game and corrupt your savegames if you do it in the beta game right now.

The devs know about each of these things and have already acknowledged that these items will be fixed in upcoming patches - especially the Multiplayer version of the game… I expect they will slip the updates in without much more than a line item in a bug fix list…

Thankfully as the game has not launched yet and is still far from complete, anyone taking advantage of these issues really doesnt affect anyone else and Arena ladders etc should not really to be considered “valid” at the moment…

Yeah, this is a known issue with minions killing stuff after the player dies. It’s been an issue for a very long time and the devs are aware of it.
