Last Epoch has 2 rankings:
-in the game ( for all)
-on the website ( for the arena, but also shows players from 0 arenas)
But why are both so weird?
For example - Ladder SSF website for patch 8.2: 100 position - 24 lvl; 21 position - 5 lvl
Ladder in the game - yesterday I was 39 lvl, 100 position was from 34 lvl - I have not seen myself in this ranking

What does it look like in Last Epoch: There are OLD CHARACTERS in Ladder - why?
Who needs a ladder for the new patch with old character ?
Each new ladder patch should be FOR NEW CHARACTERS ONLY.
I have lost 1700 hours in POE - why so many? Because there each new patch / season has a separate ranking with 15,000 NEW players. It is an incentive to try the game again, it is competition, you want to play.
Maybe you should make Last Epoch rankings in the same style?
The ladders should be showing the same people in the same positions as they’re drawing from the same source. If they aren’t that’s a bug.
I think one of the devs said that prior to an earlier patch the ladder required a new character to be created but this isn’t the case now. IMO that’s not ideal.
The new patch starts, I play 3 hours and I see 100 level players in the ladder - that’s not cool.
Last Epoch is a good game, but if someone did max lvl then they must have an incentive to do it again.
This is the case in POE and that’s why 150 k players are playing there on the start of the new season / patch.
Make sure the ladder is well made.
It’s a patch, not a cycle/league/season.
I would totally agree with you for a cycle, but not for a patch. Even if this one is so huge it could be considered a cycle.
Yes this is a patch ONLY, but there is a separate ladder for each patch.
So why not make a ladder only for new characters?
I like the game very much - I want to come back to it, try new builds - it would be good if the new ranking also encouraged me to do it
ladders are fine the way they are, except they are bugged in many ways
you see players on hc solo and softcore solo at the same time for example, i’ve seen players disappears from softcore top rankings and others
this one is annoying not sure if was there before patch, it keeps resetting my waves I got around wave 200 twice it shows on both solo ladders hc and softcore then after few hours it resets to wave 0
I think in softcore/hardcore it’s fine to use an existing character for the ladder but for ssf i agree with llama that it should require a new character to create in the current patch. It’s not 1.0 yet but i like to treat every new big patch as a new ‘‘season’’ already and it would be fair for people who like to compete.
