Lack of difficulty

I can agree it should increase in difficulty faster. But compare 500 waves to raising corruption on the average mono. It’s still pretty quick. An hour maybe for 500?

Has anyone actually ever noticed difficulty getting higher from 100 Corruption to 200? I haven’t.

My experience is that 500 waves is around or more than two hours. If using arena key of memory you start a new one at 250 and take about 1:30 hour to get to 500 again. 500 to 600 is more difficult and Ill take it as another hour (never really benchmarked it…).
You can easily sink near to 3 hours in a single run seriously trying arena (take a phew minutes to stretch your fingers every 50 to 100 waves… Cause I aint no robot  ).

And could I also add the “feeling” of doing the same repetitive thing over & over 500 times ?

Monos are really more time consuming but its a different purpose. And the real challenge about monos is maybe 500 + corruption, maybe getting 900, 1000…

A difficulty setting at a certain level/point would be awesome.

Fully completing the Monolith once is fun & gives you a sense of accomplishment when you’re done. However, personally I don’t want to redo it again for the same character at 100 setting.
I much prefer to go back to the campaign zones and level there. I know that a bunch of the monolith zones are cut/paste from the campaign, but it doesn’t feel as fun.

Playing through the Campaign zones are super fun. It feels horrible to have no reason to go back and be forced to grind the monolith. The Campaign Chapters is a huge part of what makes this game great. We should be able to go farm there at end game with some system in place to adjust the difficulty/experience.

I hate to see all that beautiful hard work put into the Campaign go to waste. I also hate hearing some people keep requesting to skip the Campaign. Please make the Campaign Zones part of the END-GAME - another option for those who prefer to grind there instead of the monolith/dungeons.

I have to admit that the game is arguably, easy. Though the complexity of the game is high (not PoE sky high though), the difficulty itself is easy. But then, begs the question. Is it bad? Is easy, bad? Personally for me, I define bad as not fun. And I define not fun as clunky, spiky in power growth (no item X? suck. have item X? OP) and buggy. Well for the last point it’s true, since EA and all.

If a challenge is what you’re looking for, then maybe this is not the game for you. People find this game to be variably difficult. But, I think it’s pretty clear that most players enjoyed the game. You don’t need X amount of hours to start enjoying the game. 18 hours is just scraping the surface? Well I uninstalled elden ring and refunded it after my first death within 40 minutes.

I’m here to enjoy my time, not to bang my head against the keyboard. My head is already dented right and left from the thing we all experience called LIFE.
