Ok, so this is a bit to explain but here we go. I have an idol, called the Blackfire Large Rahyeh Idol of Penetration. This idol has two effects, with the first one being “100% of shield throw damage converted to void”. When I equip it, I can look at my tooltip for shield throw and it actually switches the keyword to void. As far as the game is concerned, the attack should now be void, and indeed I see void hit effects when I hit things. Cool.
Void Knight’s World Eater passive gives leech on melee damage and void damage. Since this attack is now void, I should be getting leech from shield throw now. However, I do not seem to be getting any spike in HP gain when using this skill, beyond the usual HP regen.
Kinda hard to tell because I do have that regen as another source of healing and maybe I’m just not seeing it. Maybe spawn in an item on the dev side with that property and see if the leech is really happening?
It probably is working, however the leech you’re getting is applied over 3 seconds, so unless you have lots of damage, you may not see much hp gain.
You could test this with an Exsanginious chest piece after your hp stabilises, then spam Shield Throw & the leech should then stabilise your hp at a higher figure.
I’ve confirmed that the leech is working in this scenario. As Llama8 mentioned, leech can just be hard to see in some situations, particularly if you have a lot of health regen already.
I’ve confirmed it as well since this post by using the leech amulet to boost the stat even higher. I just wasn’t expecting the leeched health to come back over a 3-second period, but rather that it would be instantly regained. With more leech, it’s more obvious that it’s working.
