I am on my Beastmaster. I have an idol that gives me +4 bees per ten seconds.
They count as full blown companions/minions and count towards the limit. But only if I have the idol equippped BEFORE I summon my wolves.
If It take the idol off, I can summon five wolves and the +4 bees per 10 and have tons of wasps and bees from the gloves as well as a snake.
What? Why? Why does it allow me to summon my dogs one way, but not the other? I have to keep taking the idol off to summon five dogs, and then reequip the idol to get my bees and then go into combat.
What is going on?

It was because of this change. It kinda ruined any wolf build that uses permanent bond and also has another minion.
Basically, make sure to unsummon any non-wolf (usually by unequipping some gear), summon your wolves, then equip/summon the rest.
And if one wolf dies mid-combat, same thing will happen again. You will need to unequip the other minions, so you can resummon your wolves back.
Basically, until this gets changed (which Iâm really hoping it will, otherwise wolf builds are kinda shafted), donât use permanent bond.

So they made a change that makes zero sense in any directionâŚand now we have to hope they do something about it?
Cool, coolâŚ
All jokes aside, thanks for the information.
The change was because permanent bond was counting as an extra companion for the frog helmet, so you had one less frog that way.
And with this change the frog build can now run a single wolf (you just never summon your ârealâ wolves because you only want 1 to howl) and use every companion slot with frogs.
So they fixed frogs, but broke wolf builds at the same time.
