So I’ve been farming the crap out of orobyss since I had no luck getting exsanguinous and 3 of my lowlife builds are stuck in limbo until I drop one… However after literal hours of farming with the unique+ blessing, I filled a whole stash tab with uniques and got about 13 set item drops… Yet no exsanguinous to be found
Does the item have any special drop perimeters like not being too high of a level, or can’t drop from bosses. Tbh despite how annoying it feels the insane cache of gold and other rare uniques isn’t exactly hurting my builds(in fact I’ve found an interesting ring that’ll make leveling my rogues a breeze, once I get my primalist I’ve got his pick of 7 beast kings, and I’ve got more than enough to breeze through leveling any mage as well) but i’d still like to just go back to the low monoliths, or just switch focus to another build until random chance happens, if this isn’t helping me
No, it’s a random (non-gamble-able) drop from any zone above lvl 23. Anything can drop it, it is very rare, only the uniques drop blessing would influence dropping it. You could potentially go back to lvl 23ish zones so as to not “pollute” the drop pool with higher lvl uniques.
Ye that’s what I did. Uniques blessing and farming orobyss(level 23). I might farm mobs on the way to him instead I guess since I’m not sure if more kills or more loot drop rolls matter more. Only takes about 8 seconds for me to kill him anyway so in the time I run an area I kill him 3 times.
Also I knew it was rare but I did kinda assume that after getting the unique blessing and limiting the drop pool I would have gotten it after 10 hours of nothing but farming x.x
What really kills me is that I got it once when I was still learning the game. However I died wearing it(didn’t use it properly at all) and now it’s useless for my HC chars x.x
It was mainly because I’ve already laid the groundwork for 2 other characters that both got held up by exsang, and tried a third really dumb failure after, and then sort of just got tired of waiting so I tried to force it through. Kinda impatient to see if those builds could function endgame but they require so many affixes that if I’ve got to spam defenses I highly doubt it’ll work.
In a bit more than 500 hours I found maybe a bit less than 10 Exsanguinous. I’m not sure one dropped from a boss, so at least the vast majority came from random mobs. I got them in the campaign and in the monoliths, no zone seemed to be better. It’s really pure RNG.
And if you farm the Omen of Silence, I would kill mobs on the way, this would give you more chance to find something.
i have more luck finding that doing 100 empowered monos
also before i could do that i d make a new acolyte main rip blood for war usage and level ti to 25 on my 4th go through i got one on spymaster zerrick boss before wastelands area

Unfortunately I only got one char within level range to start grinding towards that, and since volatile reversal is bugged Id have to rework him entirely since I was building around using that to keep my mana and dots going x.x
