Crushing blow ( crit ) 3220 damage. Overkill 2034. Is this the normal stuff now? So the game is dead for hc?
Given you only have 1.2k hp & low dodge/armour & uncapped crit defences, yeah. Sorry.

My Dru Umoja have 7500+ EHP, in 1.3 it was enough to survive at ~300 corruption, now i am struggling at ~100. OP’s Rogue have 1850 EHP at 65 lvl (real ehp is larger because of ward), where he found something that lands 5k hit? No it’s not normal. Dev fucked up balance.
No, it was a 3.2k crit (so double a normal hit) & he didn’t say what did the hit for all we know it was a well telegraphed hit that you’re supposed to avoid (like Osprix meteors, or a big hit from a champion when he had a bunch of stacks of armour shred, resist shred, marked for death, etc.
All we know was that it was a crit, did 3.2k damage & that he was on full (or close enough to full given that he took 1,186 damage which killed him) hp.
And, since he’s got a corruption that converts Int into Madness, you’d think that he’d prioritise getting crit avoidance capped? He has 2 sources of ward, the belt affix (37.4 ward on potion use) & boots (60 ward on gaining haste). Even if he had the full amount that would haven’t been much.
For a % chance/proc based defence (dodge, glancing blow, etc) if you can’t get to 100% then EHP is an unreliable number since it’s based on a statistical average. If he had 2 shadows his relic would have given him a 1 in 6 chance for 42% damage reduction which is great for small hits but sucky for big hits that don’t proc the effect. Likewise, he had 19% chance to dodge (assuming no dust shroud stacks) so ~1 in 5 hits cause no damage, but the other 4? Full damage…
I’m not saying it’s not, I’m just saying that that particular character looks a bit squishy for HC.
It’s ok. I think I dont understand the game yet or maybe the game is still in beta or something. I actually tried to play one of the best builds in terms of safety after the rogue adventure and I went to town with a tp then took the tp back to the zone and found myself dead after loading. The game is not yet good for hc so I will come back every patch or new league untill they fix this bullshit. This should not exist. Good luck to you all!
