It would take a lot longer. Scaling options have to be designed and tested properly. Otherwise you have text that leaves the tooltip, or is simply missing because it didn’t fit. Or is blocking something else you might need to click instead.
These things will come eventually, but it certainly is not “an hour tops”.
They had 5 years to do it, please tell me about how long it takes to add font options to a game.
Sure, they could have added that and global chat and many other small things that individually don’t take much time. And 1.0 wouldn’t have new masteries.
Programming is about making priorities between adding needed stuff, fixing bugs and adding QoL. All is weighed and priorities are set. It will come eventually, there are just more important things to add first.
You are a blind apologist if you think in 5 years they weren’t able to add a font option without making sacrifices to the gameplay.
No, I’m just a programmer and am aware of the concessions you have to make.
i personally wouldnt consider the chat font too small to be honest, but yea, thats just me.
No idea how time consuming these things are, but i can imagine it not being that easy. For example, if you play the german translation, you do see quite a few oopsies in the subtitles and mobb names when it comes to formatting ^^
Font options are more important than anything you named and also they would not have stopped them from fixing those other things anyways.
So are bugs, and yet many still aren’t fixed. Again, you don’t really know how programming works, and that’s ok. But there’s a reason why this isn’t in the game yet and it has to do with priorities, time allocation, etc. Just like many translations aren’t still good. Because there’s no time. Just like some animations aren’t finished yet. Because there’s no time.
If you realized that amount of hours and manpower required for something like the new masteires and factions, you’d realize that taking care of every little thing would delay the game another year.
Because font options are very important to you, but they aren’t to me. I can see everything in the game just fine. That doesn’t mean that they shouldn’t be in the game, just that the devs have to assign priorities on tasks.
Not to mention the fact that font options are rare in games. Not many implement that. So it’s not that important to them.

I have played plenty that didn’t have that option. ARPGs anyway, I usually stay away from MMOs. Including AAA games.

Fine, if you don’t want to be aware of the difficulties of implementing a full system with lots of modular parts, then yes. EHG are slackers for not having this in the game. In fact, they probably already have it implemented, they just don’t release it because they have fun watching people complaining about it.
Actually, if it’s so easy, why don’t you contact EHG and offer to do it for them? I mean, microsoft word mastered it 30 years ago, I’m sure you can easily pick it up and copy/paste into LE.
i honestly dont know too many games either that offer that to be honest bud ^^
i mean, it sure would be nice to have tho.
what id personally prefer is more adjustable interfaces. like you know, being able to place icons around wherever you like them to be. but i guess thats still from my WoW times using ElvUI ^^
